Class of 2016 from Nepal

by the way which centre should i choose for my tests…?Universal or USEF is ok?..

And one more thing i can see about 25-35 views per day but only a few replies …plz plz help us out in our process…i guess it is better to know everything before rather than getting messed up at the end…plz…

Take SAT I in such a time so that you can retake the test if you are not satisfied with your scores(October shall be fine!). November for SAT II is also good choice. That way you can retake your SAT I in December if you wish to.
TOEFL is a really easy test so don’t wait for July. If its possible, take TOEFL in June itself.

I graduated from High School in 2010 and fell short of deadline at my preferred college. I will also be applying for FALL 2012. The first thing u need to do is take Friday’s Group Advising Session at USEF, for that u need to register in advance. It HELPS alot!!

@confidential2015: thnx for the advice . i shall do the same.:)

@samyak: how do u register for Friday’s Group Advising Session at USEF??

@Shakya: it’s simple… go to USEF Library’s front desk and tell them u want to attend one! you need to register by thurday to attend one on friday… it’s better to register in advance, in monday or tuesday as seats are limited and lots of prospective students would be seeking one

@samyak: ok .i’ll go tomorrow then…thnx.looking forward for more help in the future as well…

@confidential2015
i would have registered TOEFL in june…but i am in the process of making my passport…and this MRP thing takes about 35-45 days…so seems like I have to wait till august for my TOEFL…poor me…:(

@samyak:alright i’ll follow ur blog …bt it would be awesome if u put all the required materials asap…otherwise we also might have to apply along with our juniors…and see i hav alreadt let go my first option for TOEFL…:(…now i have to take this SAT and TOELF thing parallely…

@shakya
if ur going tomorrow just know a thing for me…do we have to register for june 15 session? or can we just attend it without registering…plz …pzlz…

that application essay session, is it? if that is so, u have to register in advance.chrg is 50 rs.

yes… alright thnx…

You don’t need passport to take the TOEFL. You can use your citizenship certificate. If anyone argues with you regarding this rule, open ETS’s official site, print the rules and ask them where the passport rule is. I’m sure the people at USEF will try to argue. At other centers, people accept citizenship certificate easily.

If your Testing Center is USEF, Passport is the only valid ID… it’s written in their website as well… it’s better not to take any risk with Citizenship Certificate although it is the one mentioned by ETS… USEF’s yards, USEF’s rules!!!

@cc2016:dont worry about your TOEFL… I would suggest the best time to take it is when u r nt occupied with SAT practice tests (probably during August if u r taking SAT on October, ur SAT preparation will help u too)… although it is a piece of cake, it matters and 115 is much better than 105.

@confidential2015:samyak is right about the passport thing…i asked the people from USEF…
@samyak:well didn’t wanted to but seems like i have to register it for august…no other option:(…but why august ?..isn’t that too late?..

by the way how much preparation do we need for TOEFL?..i need to divide up my time…

and one more thing… can we change the name of the 4 colleges after registering …?i am talking about the ones which TOEFL allows us to register for free…

@cc2016: Taking TOEFL at August is not late… no matter how early you take it, your marks will not be reviewed by the colleges until September - the time most of the colleges open application.
And, you can change the names of those 4 colleges anytime before your Test Date!

@cc2016: Don’t worry about TOEFL. All you need to do is familiarize with the pattern of the test and that won’t take more than a couple of hours. And one thing, i would highly recommend you to select KCM as your test center.

why KCM?..i was planning USEF…
