Everyone who got the “coming days status” from Thurs/Fri have already heard back. People who live across my town have already gotten their letters in the mail. Is my mailman that bad? I want my letter!

does anyone know when the “next wave” of people will hear if they didnt today?

@vmt1994 - i got my “coming days” notification friday afternoon and still haven’t gotten anything in the mail or anything updated online. they’ll probably let us know tomorrow

when my status was changed to coming in day how many days do i have to wait? also ive heard about the picture changing. what exactly does it mean?

apparently the norm is 3-4 days to hear back.

and im not sure about the picture. some peoples change but i dont know if that really means anything or not. mine has been university park since i first logged in to mypennstate

after the coming days it usually takes about 1-4 days

I got my coming days Thursday and got my acceptance this morning and the letter this afternoon. My picture stayed University Park the whole time so I don’t know if that affects anything

@kmaster225 - i wouldn’t worry to much. i have similar scores and less ap classes and i was accepted into the college of engineering

Applied late october/early november. Accepted into the College of Engineering.
GPA: 95
SAT:1820
ACT:29
good essays
3 recomendations

does the online status usually change before you get the letter in the mail?

Nmc2149 yes the online status will change before you get the letter. At least that’s what happened to me

redsox2323

I was also accepted into the College of Engineering with almost the exact same GPA, SAT, and ACT

How important do you think SAT’s are? I got a 640 CR, 610 W, and a 500 M (math is NOT my strong point). I want to major in political science, and my GPA is a 4.2 weighted. Do you think that I still have a chance?

@asollazz I would say you’re definitley in lol. GPA is 2/3 of everything and Sat’s its a lot less than 1/3. As long as you have a good GPA (which you do) you’re in.

I was just accepted with a 3.8W GPA and a 1860/1220 SAT. My good friend was just accepted with SAT’s similar to yours and a 4.5W GPA. I wouldn’t worry

I just got the acceptance notification online!!

Accepted online today (Tuesday) for Fall at UP History Major

Coming days status appeared on Friday

I was very excited to be accepted but am following my heart to Boulder!! PSU was my second choice. Goos luck to everyone!

I got accepted today too as a political science major!

hey guys, I recently applied to Penn State undergrad and upon checking my “mypennstate” account yesterday, I noticed that my picture had changed to the Nittany Lion with a box below it explaining the 2+2 program and how all the other campuses are great. This scared me because from what I’ve read on this site, the picture change to the Nittany Lion seems to mean you’ve either been deferred or denied and I was wondering if there was anyone who has experienced otherwise and if not, what would be the major with the lowest stats or highest admissions to get into UP being that it doesn’t matter at first what major i get into, I will obviously eventually transfer into my intended one (keep in mind that I applied DUS on my app), thanks!

did you say you would do summer session?

Hey everybody, I just have a question directed towards anybody who may know the answer. My status changed to saying “… a decision will be posted here as soon as one is made”. Does anybody know about how long until I may get the “coming days” status? Obviously i’m anxious to know and see what happens.

Also, if you don’t mind, tell me if you think i’ll get in with the following stats:

GPA: 3.6 uw, don’t know weighted

SATs: 1270/1600, 1990/2400 (all in one sitting)

I’ve taken nearly all honors courses, and am taking 4 college classes now, two more next semester

Applied nov. 28th

Limited extracurriculars, unfortunately

Meteorology Major

~~ Thanks everybody!
