Class of 2016

Well, this section seemed a bit empty. I thought I would break the ice a bit by making this thread.

Anyway, I guess with Early Decision being out for over a week now, we can get over the excitement and chat a little bit.

I'm Sam from Pittsburgh, PA. Anyone else from Pittsburgh going?

Hi Sam! Haha I guess most ppl are still trying hard to believe they r going to CornellXD(haha i still cannot believe it myself) can never get over the excitement i think! still it surprises me very few posts r in this section! yep lets break the ice! btw which college are you going?

Hey guys! I’m still waiting for financial aid, which should come this week. There is a somewhat good chance I won’t be able to go D:

Hi everyone! I’m from Bucks County PA and will be at the ILR school next year. Any other ILR students?

I’m in ILR, too! From Long Island, NY

college of engineering whats good! I’m Emily from New Jersey. How many of you all have seniorites already? I know I do haha

Hey everyone!! I’m from Sri Lanka  College of Engineering. Can’t wait till August!!

Yeah my senioritis is really bad. It feels like high school is insignificant now, and the days drag on. I guess that’s what happens when you view high school as a means to an end. Now that I’ve achieved that end, the means seems pointless =/

Yeah, tonight’s the first night I’ve done homework since I got in Cornell… senioritis is pretty bad.

I agree. I dropped 13 points in ap Econ after getting into Cornell because I stopped taking notes altogether…

Same! I don’t pay attention in AP Econ at all anymore and I failed a quiz today

Hello everyone` Im from New Jersey~ :stuck_out_tongue: college of engineering. /: Just failed an epic ap physics test today … havent been doing hw at all T_T

Guys, our facebook page is dead. We should all get on there and start legit connecting with each other.

My friend’s American University '16, and, honestly, they’re making us look bad. They’ve already got tennis doubles figured out. :P

heyyy guys! College of Arts and Sciences, psych majors! <3

ella7879, no idea what you’re talking about! I get so many notifications from the fb page daily, haha. ( :

anyone know what dorm they want? I wanna do program housing but I D K! Thoughts?

maryjane, which page are you on? No one’s posted for days on the one I’m talking about.

Ella, type in “Cornell university class of 2016” in the search bar it’s the group with 597 or so members

Thank you cortana  I see it now.

Hey guys, I’m trying to finish up my application for Cornell but can’t help thinking of how pointless it is. My SAT scores are not the greatest (1890-1940) but I have a commendable GPA (3.9) and several extracurricular activities. In your opinions, do you think I stand a chance with a good essay?

Baeuws, yes. Apply. If Cornell is what you want, don’t lose hope before applying. You never know how “pointless” it is unless you try. If you don’t get in, you’re not losing anything. Plenty of other schools will take that SAT score. But, if you do get in, then hooray! you win. SO, when it comes down to it, you have nothing to lose.

Congrats and welcome to all the future Cornellians!!!
