Class of 2017 ED?

Anyone in the Northeast hear yet? Nothing in today’s mail. Did the rejections and acceptances go out the same day?

Ok, so I was wondering who else got accepted/rejected and if they would put there stats up. I’ve seen people do this for several other colleges and am just curious how the numbers will fall. To start, here are my stats:
Objective:• ACT:32 (Math:32, English:34, Reading:34, Science:27
• Unweighted GPA (out of 4.0): 3.99
• Rank (percentile if rank is unavailable): 20/310
• AP (place score in parenthesis):World History (5), Biology (5)
• Senior Year Course Load:AP Calc BC, AP European History, Theater 2 (non-accelerated), Accelerated Physics, AP English Literature, AP Spanish, and a free period
• Major Awards (USAMO, Intel etc.): None, but…
I was on the State Championion 400 freestyle relay, and have placed top eight at state in the 100, 50, and 200 free 5 times. I have also achieved all-state status (four year in a row) for cross country and track and field (100 and 200) (btw, I will not be swimming in college, but will join the track/ cross country team)
Subjective:
• Extracurriculars (place leadership in parenthesis): Cross country, track and field, swimming, science cub, acapella choir
• Job/Work Experience: Lifeguarding and babysitting
• Volunteer/Community service:Stuff with my church (FMSC, Food Drive,…)
• Summer Activities: Swimming on a club team and running to keep in running shape. Also worked as a lifeguard.
• Essays: I guess they were good: they were mentioned (in detail) on my acc. letter, saying the admissions commitee was “most impressed”
• Teacher Recommendation: Never saw them. But they too were mentioned on my letter, so they had to have been amazing.
• Counselor Rec: Didnt see.
• Additional Rec: Didn’t have.
• Interview: Had one with student interviewer. It was amazing; we spent the whole time laughing. I loooooved it.

Other• State (if domestic applicant): IL
• Country (if international applicant):
• School Type: Midsize(ish) public, vary competitive (ranked nationally;8 perfect act scores)
• Ethnicity: White
• Gender: Female
• Income Bracket: 200
• Hooks (URM, first generation college, etc.): will be on track and field team

Reflection
• Strengths: The essays and teacher reccomendations
• Weaknesses: Test scores/class rank.
• Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected:I honestly have no idea. Only 100/ 400 applicants made it, so I guess my scores were high enough/ essays good enough. One additional draw I may have had was the track coach. I was very sought after by coach Gomez.
• Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Accepted: Wooster
General Comments: I think the track coach may have helped. I AM SO SO EXCITED I have worled so hard for this. My mom started crying when we got the letter with the big thumbs up. One of the happiest moment of my life.!!!
On the downside, I will have to do an extensive work-study while I am there because I am unfortuantely in the income bracet that gets very little aid, but really can’t afford it. My parents have save a long time for this and 90% of the money I make in the summers and on weekends will go towards this college. I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy, though and know this is the right path. No matter what happends, I will live without regrets and never look back. :)

I was accepted! I am beyond excited for what is to come. Good luck to all of the people who do not know yet. And for you those of you who have gotten accepted, I will see you in nine months!
