Class of 2017 EDI

I submitted my app two days ago, and I'm already counting down the days 'til December 15.
Anyone else submit theirs already?

I’m getting ready to submit mine! Should I rush send my scores or send them regularly?

Oh no… I have yet to submit my app. Not even close. I feel so behind but my CA essay is still very bad and I’m trying to fix that up :frowning:
Also, I sent my SAT scores (normally) yesterday! So I think that ought to be fine.

Quick question- how did you guys submit your financial stuff? Apparently we have to send W-2s and tax returns??

Also, glad this thread finally got started :D

Don’t worry, there’s still plenty of time! What test scores do you have?

Just got my Vassar ID and they’ve received all of my application materials. Ahh!

I applied early to Vassar. What are your SAT scores? I have a 2070 (700 CR, 690 W, 680 M) and SAT 2’s 750 Math 2, 790 US History, 750 World History.

2330 SAT but 760 / 690 (USH) SAT2s lol (ugh)
I just didn’t study at all because I assumed I would retake them later and I just never did.
That’s really going to hurt my chances… :(

Where are you guys located?

2190 SAT and 30 ACT (bad, I know) my scores are the weakest part of my app…

ingrid8, you have nothing to worry about scores-wise! You are smack in the middle 50% range (2010-2200) :)

I got a 2160 on the SAT but I submitted ACT which was a 33. And I think 33 is the 75th percentile for Vassar, so I’m okay with my scores. It’s my GPA I’m worried about.

Same… my scores are decent to good but my GPA is ~90.

My GPA’s a 3.3 UW (4.3 weighted), but I included a very heartfelt letter from both me and my psychologist explaining why my GPA isn’t up to par, and I hope it’s enough.

marleegrace, how long did it take them to send you your Vassar ID after you submitted your application? I just submitted my app today, and it’s a Sunday, and Monday is a holiday…aghh I’m so impatient!

SAT: 2200 (reading-740, math-700, writing-760)
Subject tests: spanish-760, physics-730, literature-720
GPA is 4.34 weighted (3.97 unweighted)

marleegrace: I too have extenuating circumstances (basically an 89 avg junior year), and I know my counselor said she’d address them in her letter and get my psychologist to add a paragraph to personalize it even further… do you think I need to say something about it in add’tl info as well?

Is anyone submitting something for Your Space? If so, what?

It took about a week to get my Vassar ID. I assume a simple letter explaining the circumstances should be sufficient.
For my Your Space, I made a short little blog about my life and hobbies. It’s nothing major, but I think my personality shines through.

I just submitted! my SAT’s are pretty terrible so who knows if I get in but I’m already counting down the days as well :)

whoops! mine wasn’t submitted, forgot to add in my supplement. any care to read and critique my “why vassar” essay?

I submitted my app last night. I submitted a video of myself doing circus/contortion, and a video of a song that I covered for my yourspace.
SAT 2150 (CR 800, math 680, writing 670) literature 720, math 1 720

I submitted mine about a month ago, but I’m still freaking out!

I used two prose pieces for YourSpace… hopefully that’ll be sufficient.

ACT: 31 (blech, but didn’t send)
SAT: 2270 (CR 800/M 690/W 780)
SAT II: 740 US History/ 740 Bio/ 690 Lit/ 690 Chem
