Is anyone nervous about their official admission decision/financial aid?

Yes, so much! So far I’ve gotten into Smith, Cornell, and a likely from Wellesley–but I’m not celebrating until I see the fin. aid letters and actually know that I can go. Does anyone know when we’ll get the packets?

@lynnekeshet: I believe the “real” acceptance will become available online next Thursday at 5:00 ETS. And the admission packet with the financial aid information will not come in mail until late march so many more days to wait, sigh!!

It’s too bad that we can’t get our financial deal at the same time as our decision letter. I feel like I’ll still be holding my breath for the financial piece.

agh! Also, I heard we’d get letters from students, but I haven’t gotten mine yet. Checking the mail every day! March is a frustrating time…but I’m excited!

My D also got a “likely” but has not received a letter from a student or alum. She is not celebrating until she gets the official acceptance letter next Thursday.

I haven’t received a letter from a student or alum, but I did get one from an admissions director. The official decision will be hanging over my head all spring break!

I won’t feel like I can really celebrate until I get the financial aid letter in my hand, though.

Students are writing letters to likely students now. Some are already in the mail. Alums are only writing to officially accepted students based on location so we don’t even know who’s admitted yet ;)

I got one yesterday! It was so nice to get a handwritten letter from a current student. Really says a lot about the school.

My D got her letter. It was so well written and enthusiastic and encouraging. Very impressive.

I got a very sweet letter Will definitely be contacting her

My letter was really nice! I guess they matched us up by our potential majors, and it was nice to hear from someone in the American Studies department!

It’s super sweet!! So, did all EE’s get the letter?

So nervous about Thursday…

I got my letter too! It turns out that she, the writer, graduated from my school last year, and knew some of my teachers! It was really sweet and genuine, and it makes me want to go to Wellesley more to meet those kinds of people.

Good luck, everyone! Thursday’s fast approaching! Even though my EE was favorable, I’m still nervous I’ll be that small percentage that doesn’t get accepted…

Kate244, all EEs evaluated as “likely” get a letter. If you didn’t apply EE and get in RD, you’ll get a letter then as well. :)

did they already see our 1st semester senior grades before giving us an EE?

I will assume so since they asked for them, but they also may not have since my 1st semester grades were sent in the middle of February (strike delayed the semester) and decisions came out two weeks later. I mean they could’ve have time to look but I’m not sure.

I’m just scared because my first semester math grade was bad. I got a likely, but I talked today to a girl whose sister got waitlisted after receiving a likely! so terrified!

what is bad ?.. i got B+ in AP cal…
kinda nervous too
