[/ul]Reflection[ul]

[] Strengths: High scores and grades, devotion to music program. Showed interest by visiting and sending AP scores to school. Took almost entirely honors/AP in math and science.
[] Weaknesses: Not many engineering related extracurriculars. No particularly outstanding awards, although I did get an engineering related one for my school.
[] Why you think you were accepted/deferred/rejected: I showed interest and had the grades for the school. Those are the two things you need for Lehigh.
[] Where else were you accepted/deferred/rejected:
Accepted: Rowan, Rutgers, U. of Maryland-College Park, Northeastern
Waitlisted: Boston University, Carnegie Mellon
Rejected: Cornell, MIT
[/ul]General Comments: March hasn’t gone so well for me as far as acceptances go, but I’m glad to have gotten into Lehigh! I always described it as a “little Cornell,” so I’m interested to see what money I get, as that will determine where I ultimately land. To all future applicants: make sure to SHOW INTEREST. At schools like Lehigh, that is everything. I believe that is why I was waitlisted at Boston University as well, and I didn’t know that they really cared ahead of time.

Strengths: GPA, SAT, essay, maybe recs
Weaknesses: SATII, ECs

General Comments: Really surprised to be waitlisted, although I had no intention of going anyway. Lehigh seems to be very big on demonstrated interest, although I did visit. Lehigh’s Admissions Office was absolutely awful to deal with; I’m quite sure they will drop in yield because of it. Really not sure why I applied to Lehigh, I didn’t particularly like it. Anyway, good luck to all who were accepted!

Really surprised I was accepted, and will attend because of a great FA package (it is included in the letter, but it’s in the back of the folder, so you might miss it). I got my acceptance package today because I live in commuting distance; the letter is postmarked March 29th.
