So, 'sup all of you fellow hopeful Wildcats! I decided to start a thread since in approximately 4 days, everyone will know whether or not they're gonna be a Wildcat. This forum's a little dead, so I'm hoping to give it a tiny breath of life, at least for this admissions cycle. Who here's really excited for Davidson?

What day are the decisions coming out and what time?

March 26th at 8 PM!

I’m definitely excited! Where are y’all from? I’ve been waiting forever for someone to start talking about Davidson.

And I thought it was at 9?

I thought decisions came out March 27th?

Their website says March 26th at 9pm

I got deferred from ED2, really hope toget in!

Whoops, it’s definitely 9! Any Belk semifinalists have their interview? I’m from Miami, by the way.

I’m from Mooresville, which is about 4 minutes from Davidson. Just wondering, how did y’all that are from all over the country get interested in Davidson?

Well I saw that it was #1 in Undergraduate Teaching, and then I heard about the honor code, and then they flew me up to visit, and then I ended up really liking Davidson.

Sorry to be ignorant but how exactly are we notified of admission decisions? I’ve been looking at the website but haven’t found anything…

It’ll be available on this link on Tuesday, 9PM: https://admission.davidson.edu/apply/status

The website definitely needs to be upgraded; too many dead links for a school of its caliber!

That’s awesome! I grew up on the campus and I did neuroscience research there all somewhere and I just absolutely love it. Good luck to everyone :)

Thanks so much, AnythingToSay. In answer to the previous question – I’m a SoCal resident, but my uncle went to Davidson a while back and really loved it! After some research I just decided to apply because it sounded like the type of school I was looking for with a solid program for my major.

I’m a freshman from new jersey, and I found the college on the US News ranking of liberal arts colleges. Quite a few of us seemed to have stumbled upon Davidson that way…

True. I think that’s one of the flaws of Davidson: marketing. It’s such an awesome school yet I would never have heard of it if I didn’t do research on it! That being said, it might be helpful to those of us that DO want to go to Davidson; it helps keep the competition down ;).

I think it’s awesome that so many people from farther away want to come here. I’m one of the only people who applied there from my school even though it’s an amazing college.

Not everyone has heard of Davidson, that’s certainly true, but it doesn’t hurt its students. The right people know, and the people who have heard of the college are aware of how strong it is. That really shows up in the alumni network, which I used to my advantage by scoring an internship with Merrill Lynch for this summer simply because I attend Davidson. Graduate schools, in particular, are very much aware of Davidson’s caliber.

I was nervous about Davidson’s name recognition before coming here, but after my semester-and-a-half on campus, I’ve found that it’s absolutely nothing to worry about.

6 hours guys!

the web portal is currently unavailable…
Hope it doesn’t mean I’m rejected
