My niece was accepted, she is very happy since it’s one of her top 2 schools. Could not find information about scholarship in the email. To those who got one was it clearly stated in your portal? Could we have missed it? She’s a strong student with great stats. All other schools have given her $ so far. If anyone has info I’d appreciate it!

Scholarships will be stated under “merit awards” in the decisions tab on the ApplicantLink. For those of you who didn’t receive merit scholarships but believed you should have, did you apply before December 1st? That was the deadline to be considered for merit scholarships.

I got was accepted to the honors college and the college of engineering. I did not get any scholarships at all, so I do not think that I will be attending next year.

I was accepted with an 1820 SAT and 4.0 GPA, which seems much lower than others. I also received a great financial aid package bringing my tuition down to $20,000. I believe that BU looks at the student as a whole instead of looking at just SAT and GPA because I had great EC’s and Rec’s. I also wrote a creative essay for why I wanted to be at BU which I think helped. I am deciding between U Pitt and BU now.

Hello everyone! I have a question. I’m a biology major/pre-med and I have read it’s really hard to get an A IF you don’t work hard. By work/study hard, what do you mean? How many hours/week to get an A for the science classes? I’m planning to go to med school, so GPA is pretty important and I would like to have an idea of how much studying I need to do to organize my time.

ALSO! I’m going to be a 21-year old freshman (long story). I’m really really excited to start. I don’t have a problem being the oldie or rooming with 18 year olds but as far as housing goes, should I go with Warren/West and room with younger peeps or do you recommend that I go with housing where freshmen can room with upperclassmen? Just want to hear your guys’ opinions…

Accepted to college of communications, whadup!

ACT: 28

I know some schools allow it, if I were to call & ask for a bit bigger financial aid package due to money being tight & myself really wanting to attend, do they give in at all? Current offer is 20.5k/yr

I will be declining sometime in the next few weeks, when I am not so steamed about not getting any FA and only $10K in merit aid.
You can have my place at BU since I can’t afford it.
Enjoy Boston.

@calmum – a friend of mine at another school got a presidential, but that was all…and she has to decline because $20/$60 isn’t enough for her to attend. I wish I could give her my insulting $10K Deans scholarship! she didn’t even apply early enough for the kilachand honors college, or the trustee scholarship (which I did) so it bums me out that I put so much effort and got practically zilch, and she applied (relatively late) and got the world.
