Hi, I'm just posting this because I have been looking around and have found no threads on it. I got accepted to UCF a couple months ago, and have yet to hear back about scholarships. Has anyone else received scholarship information? Or does anyone know how long it takes for them to let you know about scholarships?
Also, feel free to post your stats if you did get a scholarship so other people can get an idea of their chances.
Thanks to whoever comments!

Scholarship money is very tight at all state supported universities and UCF is no different.
If it has been several months since you have been accepted and you have not been offered any financial assistance, then you are xxxxxx.

I received my scholarship after two weeks of my acceptance.

ilovethe47 yeah, but I still think that I would qualify for SOME scholarship because of my test scores. But I guess you never know.

Niquii77, did they email you or did you find out through the mail?

There was an update in MyUCF and I received a letter.

Alright, thanks. I’m going to call them soon because none of my friends have heard back either, and, based on seeing the stats of other people that have received scholarships, I would think that I would also qualify for one

What are you stats?

3.4 u/w, 33 on ACT, and 2220 on SAT. With a pretty decent amount of ec’s, but idk if that weighs in

Heck, yeah, you should be getting merit scholarships!

That’s what I was thinking haha. Hopefully I’ll hear back soon I guess

Has any one that was awarded by the college board as Hispanic Scholar recieved any scholarship?

Madodem1368, I’m not hispanic so I don’t really know haha

And today I emailed UCF asking if I got any scholarships, and they replied a couple hours later saying that I did! I’m not sure how much it is for though but they are updating my ucf by tomorrow. I also got admitted into the honors college today, which is pretty nice haha

Congratulations!!!
How do you know you were admitted today to the honors college? Did you get a letter?
Did you email the scholarship people at UCF?

Thanks!!
Yeah, I got a letter today. And yeah, I emailed them today and they replied a few hours later, I was pretty surprised by how fast they got back to me

Madodem1368, I am a National Hispanic Scholar and was admitted as an in-state student at UCF for Fall 2012. I received a scholarship from UCF for $40,000 over four years. For some reason, before I started last semester, they increased the amount to $48,000 over four years, which means I am receiving $6,000 a semester. It’s automatically awarded to all National Hispanic Scholars, so email Luke van Blaricom and he’ll just ask you to email a copy of your certificate as proof.

Thank you for the info! It is the same case here, and I did talk to Luke a few months ago. Hopefully the letter with the scholarship should be coming soon.

I applied in August, got accepted in September, and just got notified that I received a $44,000 scholarship over 4 years, 5,500 a semester.

wow!!! When did you receive the letter??? That is awesome, congratulations!!!
May I ask, why did you receive so much money if you said your stats were not as impressive? Don’t get me wrong, but you did not have a 4.4 GPA or 2000 SAT like many others said they do.

Oh, I got my letter last week. I got $10,000 over 4 years (I’m in-state)

Adamolly, can you tell me who you emailed? My son also wants to send an email. Thanks!
