DS was accepted EA. Anyone else?

Congrats pkdof2013! My DD was accepted EA as well. We’re waiting for scholarship info. The financial aid office says we can expect them in Jan.

Congrats to all. DD was also accept ED. She enjoyed her visit to Ursinus, and it has a lot to offer. Hopefully we’ll get some good news on merit aid.

Accepted Early Action as well even though it is not my first choice. Depends on financial & Merit aid

Really wondering about the merit aid, hope we get good news.

Accepted EA! Now to wait on RD schools…

Still waiting for merit award. Has anyone received an award notification yet?

Haven’t heard yet re merit. I’ve been wondering if that meant no award, but if no one else has heard yet, maybe it’s still coming.

Just spoke to Admissions. They’re running behind. They plan to send out announcements at the end of Jan / early Feb. There’s still hope!

I just got my letter! They sent it 3 days after I submitted my application… I feel kind of special!

It’s my second choice and my first acceptance. I’m so happy! Now I need to visit.

Congrats to everyone else! If I don’t get accepted to my first choice ED, I’ll see you/your child there!

Just got accepted RD. :)

They’ve started sending out merit award notifications via email.

DD got hers as well. We’re pleasantly surprised by the amount which makes Ursinus a very affordable option. Hope everyone else is getting good news too!

DS got his merit notice today - $17k/yr. We’re very pleased.

Just received a 19k merit aid offer. Makes it a little bit more affordable but the question is if the 55k-19k=36k price tag is worth it compared to PSU and Pitt which both have top class science programs

D got great merit award today. Makes Ursinus an attractive option.

Congratulations Scoop. Ursinus is looking pretty good now.

hello all posters! My son just got accepted regular decision today. So I’m keeping my fingers crossed there will be a merit aid offer too (and need-based!!) But my question right now is this - he was scheduled for an interview and campus tour this coming Saturday. Did most accepted students have interviews? I’m thinking it might be a factor in merit aid, but my son’s college advisor suggested I call the school and ask them whether or not he should still go to the interview. Any thoughts??

congrats on your son’s merit award, pkdof13. A lot of good vibes from Ursinus.

Uncivilservant, congratulations on your son’s acceptance. My daughter had an interview with a student interviewer last spring, but I have no idea if it played any role in the merit award. My thought is that he might as do the interview and express his great enthusiasm for the school!

Congrats Uncivilservant! My DD was accepted EA and received a large merit award. We have not visited the school yet and plan to do so sometime over the next couple months. Awards are probably issued based on stats. If you’re seriously considering Ursinus, the interview can help make your S’s decision easiser if the merit/FA package meets your objectives. Good luck!
