That’s good to hear Rydert. Hope you had a good time as well. Weather wasn’t perfect, I guess, but at least Karen didn’t cause much of a disruption.

My D2 applied last year on 10/10 and was accepted on 11/27. Kids she knows with higher stats were accepted quicker so I think it really depends on your stats. D2 had a high ACT but borderline GPA. She ended up at UMiami which she loves and D1 is a junior at Tulane which she loves. So happy that both girls found the right fit!

I have a 3.6 GPA, 2120 sat, and 32 act and applied SCEA and submitted an art portfolio. My application showed complete 2 weeks ago but I’m still anxiously waiting!!!

This is where I need to remind everyone that Tulane is not officially a rolling admissions school. Yes, they have practiced a modified form of it for some years now, but they don’t promise anything except an answer by Dec. 15 for SCEA and EA apps. For all we know, even though it isn’t likely, they might have decided to do like many other schools and notify everyone at the same time around that date.

So my best suggestion is to just relax, try to distract yourself with other things, and when you hear, you hear. Because again, there is nothing else for you to do at this point. Your app is in, and most likely you have already visited the campus or attended a local event.

But decisions usually dont start coming out USUALLY until end of October right?

In the past people have started seeing decisions around the 3rd week of October or so. It is unknown if Tulane is going to stick to that practice, though.

cyclonehome: Interesting that it took a lot longer for you to hear, especially since your kid was “auto-admit”. Who knows why? The good thing is both our kids got in!

My S got an accept today.

Congrats 2010er!! Exciting!

When did he submit his application?

Congrats to your S 2010er. I noticed you have a D that applied to Tulane a couple of years ago. Did she end up there?

He applied EA the beginning of Oct. Today Gibson changed and just said “Undergraduate Admissions” (or something like that) then a little later the “Congratulations”… was up. Tulane can be very fast.

fallenchemist-

She Toured and really liked Tulane. She also applied EA, got in, but ended up elsewhere.

Congrats to your son 2010er!

Hope we start hearing more good news for everyone soon!

frantically checks Gibson every ten seconds now

I’m right there with ya

Well hopefully I’ll know in the next week or so!! My app was marked complete over a week ago

Good luck everyone! Way back when, my s heard on a saturday, in fact right around this time or maybe a week later. It was mid October. such exciting times!

Thanks for the Congrats! Please note that I cannot PM due to number of posts. FYI- There was no mention of merit money on Gibson, but it said he would be getting a letter soon, so it is possible it would be in the letter. Good luck everyone!

It will be in the letter, if you are getting any. They never post it on Gibson with the acceptance, only later when the financial aid tabs become live.
