To the people who didn’t, just know that College Confidential’s forums provide a really skewed sample of the applicants, so don’t think that “everyone got accepted” because of the people who are listing their acceptances here. Let us complete this final week of judgment with our heads held high…

I figured the competition of applicants would be very high this year, since the school itself has gained a bit of footing in the college popularity game. It would have been great if I was accepted, but I don’t think there was a large chance I would’ve attended anyways. Congratulations to those who were admitted, though! You clearly will succeed while receiving the amazing education provided here. To the waitlisted applicants, I wish you luck and hope you achieve the news the want to hear. And lastly, to the other rejected applicants, I have to say that we shouldn’t dwell on this for too long. I see that many of us are still waiting to hear back from a number of colleges, and I’m sure we’ll get results there. Can’t wait to see what comes up in the remainder of this eventful week lol. **

That will remain a secret. But I will tell you I am somewhere in Europe or Asia. (maybe somewhere in the middle ) But that is irrelevant because colleges send acceptance packages through priority mail, and it should get to you within 4 days, regardless of your location. Therefore, everyone here should have hope until tomorrow! Good luck! I really liked Pomona, but I guess it just wasn’t meant to be.

@international95 Depends on alot of things, 3-4 days is just an estimate. I wouldn’t give up hope completely. I think they sent out some on Saturday as well.

Being an environmentalist and a prospective environmental major, I feel obliged to comment on the fact that Pomona wastes paper and increases its carbon footprint by sending paper mail to all applicants. Although snail mail does have its allure and comes off as “classy”, it really is a waste of resources when they could just post the decisions online and send additional material to those accepted. Save time, save paper, save everyone unnecessary stress….I’m surprised that this hasn’t been suggested to the adcoms yet. And if it has, then I’d like to know the reasoning behind this practice.

That being said, Pomona is an awesome place, but, there’s always room for improvement!

*not meant to be offensive. Just an observation/suggestion.

Earlyaction95 has a good point, hope you get in and can attempt some changes from within. Not only are acceptance decisions sent by paper, all billing statements, etc, are also, including the letter we got today stating what tuition and fees will be for next year. An e-mail would have sufficed. Good luck to all those still waiting, my D is extremely happy at Pomona.
