@Gxfire
Are you class of 2017?

SAT: 2030
SAT IIs: Didn’t submit
ACT: Didn’t submit (really bad)
GPA: 3.7 unweighted
Rank: Top 15%
Other stats: N/A

Major: International Studies
Essays: I was told they were really great by two teachers (both UF alum) as well as a current journalism student there
Hook (if any): Well in my essay I discussed how I’ve been diabetic but haven’t let that take over my life and always persevere and such, if that’s what this section is looking for.

Location/Person: South Florida. REALLY need to get out of here. Badly. I need some green in my life.
State or Country: Florida.
School Type: Public
Ethnicity: White
Gender: Female

Other Factors: N/A
General Comments: GAH I JUST WANT TO KNOW ALREADY!!!

SAT: 1920
ACT: 30

Major: PoliSci/Econ (does anyone know if these majors are actually better at UF than say…FSU?)

Essays: they are alrrriight. i regret not spending more time on them. basically just discussed the strive for constant self-improvement.

aps: lots of honors, only 6 ap’s though. govt/econ/lang/lit/bio/physics. 1 dual, sort of? i didn’t pay for the dual fee so i’m now i’m just taking it for the honors credit…

State or Country: ARIZONA. Probably not a good thing that I’m not in-state.

School Type: public
Ethnicity: white
Gender: female

Other Factors: mock trial MACHINE. i actually am super super passionate about law, which shows through my extracurriculars (i competed at nationals for mock trial, am president, in MUN, etc) hopefully this is a good thing.

General Comments: I got a C in AP Bio last semester but I mean, they don’t know and I don’t think they’ll rescind me once they find out, soooo… (it also didn’t drop my GPA at all). Pshft, bio.

I don’t think I’ll be too upset if I don’t get in, which is what I’m sort of expecting. FSU (my other choice) has comparable programs in what I want to major in. My entire family is all about gator-mania though, so it’d be nice to see an acceptance tomorrow.

Even though UF is kind of my back-up choice, I really do like the school and I’ll be happy to get an acceptance (haven’t gotten in anywhere yet)! Good luck to everyone!
