So I just wanted to know the stats of the people who are planning to apply!

My son is in (according to baseball admissions pre-read) to either Arts & Sciences or Engineering with:

33 ACT (11 Writing)
2120 SAT
3.7 GPA unweighted 4.1 GPA weighted on 4.0 scale
10 AP’s

He will be applying ED next week.

Good luck to all of his future classmates.

I’m planning to apply either Early Decision II (December 1st) or Regular.

Rank: 4th/210 in a public high school
SAT: 2030 (with 2nd test pending and SAT2’s coming soon)
ACT w/ Writing: 32
GPA: 98.84 Weighted, 94.158 Unweighted
I took 3 AP’s last year and am taking 3 more this year.
- I didn’t do so hot on my AP Tests
I’m a very good track runner and have been in contact with the coach for months
-(coaches can give a little extra push with admissions if they apply ED)

I plan to apply RD. Tufts is one of my top choices, though!

SAT: 2360 (790 CR, 800 M, 770 W, 10 E)
ACT: 35 (36 E, 34 M, 36 R, 35 S, 10 W)
Rank: 9/57 (I go to an extremely competitive high school; it’s ranked #1 best high school in America)
GPA: 4.0 unweighted
APs: Will have taken 19 by graduation; taken 10 exams so far, scored all 5s and 4s (7 5s and 3 4s)
I have an assortment of ECs, but my main one is choir.

Tufts is my top choice too, but I’m applying RD just to keep options open.

SAT - 2280 (Math 800, CR 730, Writing 750)
GPA 3.91 unweighted
Rank 11/485 in a suburban public high school.
SAT II - Math 2 760; Physics 710

Applying into the school of engineering, likely computer science or computer engineering.

Know that Tufts caps you at 5 APs (8 for the School of Engineering) and there are definitely diminishing marginal returns with AP exams at any university (you have basically already reached the point where the additional benefit to taking another AP exam you really aren’t that interested in is zero).

@TuftsStudent Yeah, I realize that. The reason I have so many APs is that my school requires us to take them. Besides, I kind of like it. It gives me a feeling of satisfaction to see the result of 9 months of work.

Hey, just sent in my application today!
ACT- 32 currently but just retook and am hoping for 33-34 (Science was 28, everything else above 33 with 11 writing)
GPA UW-3.83
4 AP’s (school is phasing them out)
No ranks
SAT II- 740 Lit 720 Math I

Hope all goes well for us!

Applied RD.

GPA: 3.6 UW, 4.4 W
ACT: 30
Rank: 11 / 306
APs: 3 junior year, 2 senior year. Got all two 5s and one 4 last year.

I know my stats are definitely on the low end of the applicant pool… I totally pale in comparison to some of you guys, haha. Tufts is totally a reach for me, but it’s been a dream for quite some time now. Hopefully they’re as holistic as they claim to be, and my supplemental essays and interview pull in some weight for me. :)

Good luck to everyone!!

Applied ED I recently with:
ACT: 33 (English-35; Science- 33; Math- 30; Writing-10 ; Reading- 34)
(didn’t submit my SAT)
GPA: 96.345 (weighted)
10 APs (5 taken during senior year):
Lang- 4 ; Art history- 4; World- 4; US history- 4; European history- 4
-Captain of sweet sixteen volleyball team
-NHS member
-A slew of “extenuating circumstances”

Hey guys, just a quick question. I sent in my app November 5th and still have yet to be contacted about an alumni interview… anyone else in the same boat? I really feel like an interview would benefit my chances and I don’t want to lose the opportunity!

Hey guys! I was wondering if anyone knew exact details about when ED 1 came out…I head the 15th and I heard the 18th so I was just wondering when to expect a decision. Also do you guys know if we get a letter or an e-mail? Thanks and Good luck!!!
