Class of 2018!

hi. anyone applying to carleton ed2 or regular?

Hello! I’m applying RD.

Same here applied RD.

ED2 for me probably!

probably ED 2 here!

Has anyone received ED 1 decisions yet?

They’re out because Carleton has posted pics on FB of kids with their acceptances. Good luck, all!

I just saw that. I wonder if mine is lost in the mail :(

Hey guys! I’m a current student worker in admissions, so if you guys have any questions about anything, send me a message!

BTW, all admissions decisions (admit, denied, refer) are sent out at the exact same time, Getting your letter later does NOT mean you haven’t been admitted. Some of you kids were breaking my heart during the ED I round.

I’m 99% sure I’ll be applying to Carleton EDII.

Have they released EDI results? If not, good luck to those who applied!

my son got ED1 to Carleton.

We sent out letters last Tuesday  and decisions were online this past Saturday

I am an international student from China. I want to apply for your school during ED II or RD. I have some questions to ask. First, how many Chinese students did you enroll in ED I period? Second, how many Chinese students will you plan to enroll this year.

Unfortunately, I can’t give out the exact number of Chinese students what were enrolled for the ED I period. It would be a privacy issue for the admissions committee. As for your second question, the admissions committee doesn’t have a set number of Chinese students that they are planning to enroll. We don’t have set quotas or anything like that.

Angela – this year, there are 20 students from China in the Class of 2017 if that gives you an idea of how many Chinese students enroll. On the Facebook group for the Class of 2018 (which anyone interested in Carleton can join, admitted or waiting or what-not), a couple of students from China have posted.

~ 15-20 kids/year are Chinese nationals, about 9% of the student body is international. Doubt anyone will be able to answer specifics about ED1 or 2 #s vs RD other than the admissions office itself.

I applied ED2. Soooo excited. Wish the best for all :D

I also applied ED2 and I’m so excited!

My son got in there…and except for -47 degrees we are thrilled about it!
