Class of 2018!

Is it normal to not have gotten any sort of portal set up? I applied RD, so I guess there’s still time.

Quidditchcat, I think it is time to reach out to your regional counselor. No harm in confirming that everything was submitted properly.

I applied RD as well. Carleton is definitely my top choice  good luck to you all!

My envelope came in early last week, I got in ED II and received 8k/yr more than what the net price calculator had predicted, which was already a reasonable price, so I’m pretty psyched! Congrats to those who got in and good luck to those who didn’t.

Did any of you guys get handwritten postcards from your admissions officers? I got one that talked about some specific things in my application, and why it seemed like I fit in at Carleton.

@fullmetal27 postcard here, too. Personalized like yours. Are you RD?

Anyone received an email from Carleton lately? Subject reads “Bubble wrap and putt-putt: an update on your application”… Don’t know what to make of it yet… I applied RD…

^^ Make nothing of it. It went to all students with complete applications. DS got one. Note unsubscribe capability at the bottom.

@awcntdb - thanks a lot for bringing me back to ground state  The wait has now begun in earnest :bz

Haha, you are welcome! My DS is going through the same thing, and it is good to have a grounding mechanism.

20 days and 6 hours until decisions are out for sure…

The admissions notifications dates megathread has a post saying Carleton snail mailed it’s decisions today. This true? If it is, when do you guys think they’ll email decisions?

So I just phoned them and they said we’ll be able to see decisions on our status check pages on Tuesday, 25th march.

@Trenchlord Hi, is that means all the decisions have already been made? I mean, do they send out mails in waves or just today?

I got my letter a bit over a week before Feb. 15 for ED II, so they mailed them a day or two even before then. It’s likely that they’ve already made their decisions and have mailed out letters.

video of decision letters at carleton facebook

checked Carleton’s facebook…only wish for the best :)

Keeping my fingers crossed …

Got my acceptance in the mail today (FedEx) and it confirms that decisions will be available online on the 25th

If they have already mailed the letters, how long do you think it will take to reach to an international student? Also if they have FedEx, and if the student doesnt get it in 2/3 days, doesnt it mean that the student is rejected because the rejection mail might take sometime to teach since it is not Fedexed?!
