Hello, my name is Gloria. I'm a freshmen at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I set up a group for the prospective and accepted incoming students of the class of 2018. Feel free to join if you are applying or have already been accepted! I'll be happy to answer any questions about Lincoln.

Hope you'll join us! Group: https://www.*************/groups/UNL2018/

Does no one go here??

My son has been accepted for Fall of 2014 and will be interviewing for the CBA honors program in a few weeks. Gloria, the link above is broken, so we are unable to access the group. There really does not seem to be much current information about UNL on sites like this. I am interested in hearing from others who are potentially attending UNL in the Fall of 2014.

I attended there, College of Journalism. Great program. My h.s. sr. daughter has been accepted, and is weighing vs. several other schools. She’s considering their honors programs. Hears good things about Nebraska’s w/regard to social sciences. NU also has a very strong Greek system if that interests you, and the houses are on/across the street from…campus. So great housing option. I believe NU has benefited academically from the Big10 athletic conference membership. Many good research programs. It’s “smallish” when compared to the B10 schools. It’s also rated a “high value” when comparing tuition to education and opportunity. It’s a Big 10 school where you can still get some personal attention. I’d recommend giving it a serious look. You won’t get lots of diversity in Lincoln, but if you seek it out on campus including arts, performance programming, sports, clubs etc…you will have a terrific well-rounded experience. I am biased of course as an alumnus…but i’ve since worked for fortune 500’s, and in markets like Omaha, San Francisco, and major midwest cities. No limitations with a good solid degree from Nebraska.
