Applied 8/4
UIN received 8/8
Application complete 8/19
Still have just two tabs in Howdy

Automatic admission Rank 1/29
Took 14 days for transcript to be sent and received:(

Good luck everyone!

My Record and My Finances tabs added today.

4 tabs on Howdy today!!! Yay!!!

Several subtle changes noticed on both Howdy and AIS over the last couple of days. My S applied to 1) Mech Engineering and 2) Chem Engineering. Major on AIS has now been changed to General Engineering which is in line with their new first-year engineering program. And 4 tabs now on Howdy. Perhaps the process is moving more quickly than last year.

Does getting the four tabs in howdy mean the final decision will be soon? Last year most people got four tabs around September 11th and then go their letters around the 13th.

Any idea when is A&M sending out the letters for auto-admit students?

So…has anyone been admitted yet???

I don’t think we should be expecting letters yet. From what I saw last year, September is as early as it gets…but idk, if gallifrey5 is correct then we got our 4 tabs way early?!

My son didn’t get his acceptance information until September 13th last year. He too was an auto admit. You will see it on your AIS screen well before you get anything in the mail. If you are top 10% you have no worries. You will be admitted.

It sure would be nice to receive an acceptance notice on the first day of football season!

Daughter is current TAMU freshman class of 2018, admitted as Review Admit for fall of 2014. Thought I’d share her admission stats:

Applied August 1, 2013
Admitted December 12, 2013
top 27% at very competitive public north Dallas area HS
ACT 33

National Merit Commended, AP Scholar
Fairly good ECs - band, lots of community service and volunteer work, employment last 2 years of HS.
3 brief letters of rec from employer and volunteer work advisors

The Review Admission process is a long, hard wait. Good Luck if you’re going through it now!

The official Texas A&M Admissions twitter posted the other day that they were expecting to get the decisions out for auto-admits by mid-September!

Any update on the decisions?

Small change today on my daughter’s AIS screen. Last week it showed General Engineering (still showing application completed and in review). Today it shows General Engineering (Petroleum). But still the same App Complete and in Review. I think we’re getting closer…

Same change noted here: General Engineering (Mechanical).

Same change noted here: General Engineering (Computer Science). Also popped up: Scholarship application received with a green check under additional documents.

Still no word, hoping admission comes this week

A few A&M related pages on twitter are posting that the decisions will start going out by Mid-September. I can’t wait!!!

Has anyone gotten an acceptance letter yet? My son applied as a top 10% admit on September 1st. Just wondered if anyone had heard anything.
