Class of 2019 Appeals

Hi everyone! Today the decisions for the class of 2019 went out, and unfortunately, some of us did not make it into the university. However, there is an appeal process that we could possibly go through!

While I do understand that the chances of being admitted into UCLA under appeals are slim, I will be submitting an appeal. UCLA has been my dream school since I was in the first grade, and while my stats are under the average for typical admittance, I want to go down fighting (HAHA). I have been accepted to a few schools, and while I would be happy to go to any of them, I want to take any chance I can to be admitted to UCLA.

Is anyone else planning on submitting an appeal? What are you stats and what is your reason for doing so?

Appeals are being accepted from April 1st at 5:00 PM until April 15th at 5:00 PM!

Good luck to anyone doing so! I’m wishing us all the best. No matter what the final decision may be, I believe that it is courageous for you to truly chase after your dreams.

I’ve had my share of rejection, though not from UCLA. If appealing takes the sting out of rejection, then good for you… But the reality is that you are just delaying the inevitable. It is virtually impossible to successfully appeal a denial since UCLA practices holistic admissions. I think you should instead focus your energy on where you have been admitted.
