Class of 2019 Applications and Acceptance

Is anyone here applying to UO?

My D applied Sept 19, all transcripts and documents were received on Sept 25, and we received her acceptance letter Wednesday! So excited for her, this was her first acceptance.

IB full diploma student 4.0 GPA
30 ACT
US Citizen studying in British Columbia, out of state

ECs include school and club volleyball, multiple year captain and MVP, Special Olympics volunteer

My D applied on 10/29 and got her acceptance letter last night! Nice to have one “yes” and to know that she IS going to college.

Under my application status it says “complete” and next to decision it says “holistic application review” do they all say that before a decision is made or is this something unique? I applied early action and they say I will hear by December 15th. My application has been complete since October 3. Hope to hear from someone who knows. I’m getting anxious.

My daughter submitted her application on 11/11 and received her acceptance today - 2 days later!

My son submitted his application on 10/29 and received his acceptance today! I agree with 345winter that it’s nice to have one “yes” behind him. He is also applying to Indiana University, Univ. of Wisconsin - Madison & Univ. of Arizona. He’s a Northern CA boy born and raised with 2 NY parents, so it’ll be nice for him to experience another part of the country.

I applied and got my acceptance letter two weeks later, from Northern virginia!

My D applied early in October…before the 10/15 deadline for the Clark Honors College. She was notified of her acceptance last night! It’s so good to know she has a wonderful OOS option! With the high OOS tuition, we are hoping she will get some great scholarships that will help trump any potential UC options she may have!

I applied back on December 6th. Got my acceptance a week later in the mail. The letter was dated December 8th. I’m all the way across the country in CT.

Has anyone been accepted after being deferred for Holistic Review?

I just got accepted today. I applied on November 4th but my transcript wasn’t submitted until December 29th and they got my Fee deferral form on January 20th. Eight days isn’t bad and my stats were nothing special. Now I just have to wait to hear from the CSUs and UCs in March then I’ll decide

applied by jan 13 got in jan 26; I got my acceptance letter in the mail really early for RD though. go ducks!

Congratulations keyshawnford92 and yungdthecreator! Our school just sent out semester transcipts today. My kid applied in October and was deferred for Holistic Review in December.

When will regular admission students get notification on financial aid? I’m from out of state, so unsure about whether I even qualify for the big scholarships like summit and apex. Do you have to apply for those separately? or are you automatically thrown into the applicant pool when you apply to the college?

@Jolex2‌ I’m in-state and I got both the Summit and the Presidential Scholarship. I applied for the Presidential ($9k/year) and then automatically qualified for the Summit ($6k/year). Both of the letters that came with them mentioned my living in Oregon so I’m assuming that unfortunately you will not qualify for either. About a week after I was admitted, I received the Summit Scholarship via a letter in the mail. I do not know anything about the Apex Scholarship. Hope this helps, good luck!

@jolex2 You can find information about available scholarships at http://financialaid.uoregon.edu/scholarships_freshmen. There are a few hefty merit scholarships available for OOS students if you qualify.

Oh - and the Summit scholarship (and maybe some others) actually offer more to OOS than to IS students, to help make up some of the difference in tuition.
