@thrainbow‌ I don’t think they would eliminate you for that, but maybe you could email your admissions counselor there? I would just say that you never received instructions to do that. And you should still get a letter either way.

Also, @matusa if you want engineering, I think you should go to a school that offers engineering. I think that there are certain tech firms that will only hire students with engineering degrees and even if you have a B.S. in Physics it might limit your career opportunities. If you are unsure if you want engineering, then that might be a different story. I went to college with someone who ended up transferring to a school that had engineering at the end of sophomore year. So you may not want to do that. I also think with the recent college grad job market the way it is (not great!), you might be better positioned for employment with an engineering degree. But I’m sure coming out of BC with a science degree will also lead to other opportunities. Anything STEM is a great degree these days. Good luck I’m sure it will all work out!

Did you look in your spam? That’s where we found it

i usually delete my spam emails without looking at them, but i doubt it would be there since all of my other boston college emails have been coming into my inbox.

Acceptances come in a folder

What areas are receiving letters tomorrow?

Thanks so much @collegemomjam‌ ! I appreciate your incite and personal story. This is definitely something I am going to have to think about. BC is a great school and hard to say no to, but I’ll have to determine if it fits my academic needs as well as it does my environmental desires.

@DevlinHall208, A number of students here have indicated that they did not receive an email regarding set up of the online portal. Is there anything that can be done about that at this point? Will not having set up the account have any effect on the admissions decision? Thanks in advance!

Would anybody mind chancing me for CSOM?

2210 SAT (720 Critical Reading, 690 Math, 800 writing)
4.19 Weighted GPA; 3.9 Unweighted
17/368 Class Rank
32 ACT
Varsity Cheerleading, started an Italian Club, editor of school paper, lots more leadership and volunteer work
790 SAT II US History
730 SAT II Literature

@BCLover1022‌ Assuming you had good essays, you’re a great candidate for CSOM.

@thrainbow‌ @collegebound62‌ Outside of searching your inbox & spam folder for that original e-mail, which should have been sent 48 hours after you applied, there is nothing that can be done to help you reset the account until the office opens again on December 29. Not setting up your Agora account in no way affects your admission chances. We do not track demonstrated interest in any way, and this includes whether you have set up an Agora Portal account.

–Boston College Undergraduate Admission

has the new tab myth been debunked? they have not appeared yet for anyone correct? is that one less thing to stress myself out about?

Thank you for your speedy reply @DevlinHall208!!!

Do you guys think the portal will update tomorrow ?

Did anyone’s “e” tab just recently go away?

Mine did, and my “B” tab disappeared as well

@BCLover1022‌ yes it goes away every night at this time
