deferred then waitlisted

(sorry posted in the wrong thread)

Wow so many of us deferred and then WAITLISTED. Interesting

Deferred, then waitlisted too  this sucks

deferred then waitlisted with a 3.9 uw/5.7w and 2180 sats

I can’t believe all of the waitlisted applicants with amazing stats! Good luck to you all!

I was accepted into CAS with a super scored SAT 1940 and superscored ACT 30 with a 4.0 UW and 5.12 W. I wrote about how self actualizing was more important than preparing for a job. I am also involved in multiple clubs, two jobs, and varsity sports.

Accepted 2.9 U.W 4.16 W.

Reflection

Strengths: SAT/ACT, GPA
Weaknesses: supplemental essay, class rank
Why you think you were accepted/deferred/rejected: SAT and ACT are at/above 75th percentile
Where else were you accepted/deferred/rejected:
Accepted- University of Michigan, University of Miami, University of Notre Dame, UNC Chapel Hill, UCLA, UC Davis, UC Berkeley, Vanderbilt
Waitlisted- Stanford and Duke
Rejected- USC

Why should you apply regular if you are expecting to camouflage a not so great GPA or test score with other factors?
