You seem like a great applicant. If you wanna fully optimize the legacy status, apply ED. Correct me if i’m wrong, but most schools usually look at legacy only for ED. also try to be more active in your extracurriculars. You say that your’e on the board for newspaper club, but maybe try for a sport or another club. G’luck mate!

Here is a great article on how to calculate chances. Have fun!http://phs.princetonk12.org/guidance/Forms/Betterton%20College%20Planning.pdf

@NavalCadet2019 You look like an impressive applicant, but I don’t think you’ll get into Columbia. Being an unhooked applicant with a 3.8UW GPA and sub-2000 SAT score is more than enough reason for Columbia to reject you. Most people that get into Columbia are at the very top of their class, have nearly perfect GPAs/SATs, and/or have a very strong hook.

Nonetheless, you seem like a strong applicant, and I wish you the best of luck in the college process.

Whoops. I meant to post this on the SMU thread. No idea why I put it here. I know I have no chance of getting into Columbia hahaha sorry for the mistake!
