Class of 2019 Committments

Our S has selected Trinity.

This was a lengthy and enriching process. In the end, it was primarily the people and students at TU that convinced him that he would feel “at home”. This subjective feeling, combined with a generous scholarship, and terrific strength in CS and the natural sciences, made this our S’s choice. But it was not an easy one, and he was fortunate to have a number of excellent options.

Hope others end up joining him in San Antonio.

Good luck to all.

Congratulations! I’m sure that he will love it at Trinity. Now if I could just get my son to make up his mind.

I don’t know about you and your S, but I thought the caliber or young people at the Tower Scholars Day was pretty impressive, and considerate kids too. That went a long way towards convincing our S.

Good luck with your decision.

Congratulations @ColdinMinny and congrats to your son! Thank you for sharing your search process, visits and pros and cons on CC.

@lots2do. I love your signature photo! Is there a story there?

It was my pleasure, and an interesting process.

I think I could now hire myself out as a college consultant, if I got tired of my real job.

@Beaudreau, I never really thought much about the signature photo. When I joined lots of people had photos of cats and dogs. Mine was a stock photo - I was looking for something musical - because I have musical children. I used to be a cyclist and I am a yoga instructor - so all of that may be in there somehow!
