<p>Hello wandering junior here, Congrats to everyone who was accepted!! Just curious, does MIT still do that tube acceptance thing, where they will ask you to “hack” it?</p>

<p>Son got in. Very exciting for all of us! Thank you to MIT admissions (MITChris et al) for creating an application and a process that allow the students to reveal much more of themselves than does the Common App with its 1 or 2 essays. My son felt that the interview, research supplement questions and various smaller written prompts afforded a chance to share multiple aspects of his academic and personal self. Kudos (and not just because he got in! I’ve been meaning to post this for a couple of weeks now).</p>

<p>My son got in. How wonderful!!! Now trying to figure out how to pay for it. Any suggestions? Don’t really qualify for much aid. Seems crazy to go into such debt when some quality schools will pay for full ride, but I know it is MIT.</p>
