Class of 2019 NMSF Qualifying Scores

MS > 213
AL <=216

@Reebtoor what state are you in?

@homerdog Nebraska (homeschooler). Won’t help most of y’all, but D will be very happy if that envelope shows up in the mail today.
It is looking like several states are going up with a couple going down. CA going up (at least) one, PA going up two, MS going up (at least) one . . .

@Reebtoor I can’t believe it’s takung so many days for mail to get from Illinois to NE! Hopefully you will know some hung today.

I just found out that our school does not tell kids until that Sept official date. Apparently it’s a big deal and kids get abuzz all day as to who is getting called down. Ugh.

Someone reported to Art that IL is <=222

Saw that at the top of his website but cannot find the comment. Maybe it’s not posted yet.

The Illinois # is near the bottom of the comments now (Joshua).

I found the comment just now - someone who got a 222 in IL reported they were notified they made it, but said they have no idea if lower qualified or not, just they he/she did.

I think it’s interesting that we are getting all of info from Art and not from CC members posting that they got info from their school.

Ack, still nothing for Missouri??

AL <= 216
AR <= 214
CA 223 or 224
CT = 222 +1 from last year
FL <= 219
GA > 219
IL <= 222
KS <= 219
KY 218 or 219
MS 214 or 215
MN <= 223
NE <= 216
OH <= 219
OK <= 215
PA = 221 + 2 from last year
TN = 219 + 1 from last year
TX = 221
VA <= 223
Updating with Texas confirmed 221 and a Florida report that a 219 made it.

Per CC comments - TX cutoff is 221 (no increase from last year) and FL is 219 (also no increase)

@MzBev87 which thread did you find those CC comments?

Please report your own info here if you get it. Even if there is already that info on the list. For instance, the KS comment on Art’s blog was just that the principal had exciting news and that guidance counselor texted her saying her kid should have a great day, or something. I’d like be a real bonafide report from KS.

There does seem to be much less reporting on this site compared to years past.

Purely speculation but ask your student if they had a spike in college emails 3 or 4 days ago. My daughter brought home her confirmation letter yesterday. (Texas 223) from the principal. My daughter said she got over 20 emails in one day about 3 or 4 days ago and noted that it was rather odd. This happened also right before she got her 36 ACT score last spring. I wonder if the colleges get the lists early somehow?

@TXRunningMom S19 did see a big jump in emails 3-4 days ago but don’t want to get ahead of ourselves over here…

The jump in e-mails doesn’t automatically mean SF. What it means is that you are close to last year’s cut-off, perhaps at or above it. Schools don’t learn about your exact status before you do.

@TXRunningMom my S19 has seen quite a spike but he knows he’s only commended, 219 in NY won’t make the cut. Good thing for him only one school he’s interested in gives a significant scholarship for NMF and it’s last on his list.

@JBStillFlying I know you have been around for a while but I think you are wrong about schools not learning about NMSF status before students. I know they get The Book it’s something that colleges actually pay for. Granted it doesn’t mean they will make Finalist but kids and parents should have a good idea about that.

Have we heard anything about WA yet? On all the threads I haven’t seen anyone in WA mention getting semifinalist status. Is it possible letters haven’t made it to schools here yet?
