woooo only 2 more days until we get our decisions!

Are the people scheduled to find out on the 15th the ones who applied Early Action on October 15th? I applied on the 26th and it still only says submitted. I guess they are evaluating the second Early Action deadline applicants after the first round has been decided on?

@maddie1017 I applied on the same deadline as you (Nov 1st) and mine still says submitted. It looks like they’re deciding the first round before they start evaluating us.

My sons app was in Oct 1 and started as submitted. Ultimately in Nov (don’t remember dates) was changed to Scheduled for Decision.

I never submitted a personal statement. On most applications it was just asking if there was anything about your circumstances or situation that made you different, and for me there really isn’t anything, but I’m seeing here that it was a really important part of the application. My GPA is decent (3.8 Weighted, not a NC scale), my test scores are good (2070 SAT, 30 ACT) and my extracurriculars are awesome (XC Captian, Speech and Debate, Study Abroad, community service). Will the lack of a personal statement get me deferred or rejected?

I think a personal statement is really important but it is optional for a reason. They wouldnt reject someone just because they didnt have a personal statement, but it does help.

Only 3 more hours to go… I have never felt so nervous in my life

Good luck to everyone! I didn’t submit my application until October 16th because I wanted to be considered with my November SAT (Which went from an 1190 2 part to a 1430 2 part, so it was worth it). Let me know if you get in!

I dont know what to do with myself while I wait, theres no way i can do homework now, all the S’s in my English paper will look like NC State signs

My mail hasn’t come yet, but is it possible that we will get a letter with the decision today?

can we have a results thread to post our decisions along with stats when results come out?

Check your portals! My decision is up already (I was also changed to scheduled for decision very early and I’m out of state so that may be the cause?) Anyway accepted into the International Studies Program!

i made a new thread for decisions!! check it out :)

Milesp, what are your stats

What are your stats

@Saraluck123 I posted them above. but 3.6 uw, 4.6 w, ~12% ranking in class of around 450 students. Superscore of 29 ACT. took it this weekend, hoping for 30+. Essay was written well, atleast I thought. Loads of leadership positions and ec (tutor, science clubs, nhs, band, just to name a few). also have legacy from my sister there who got 3 different degrees…

White male, 100-150k income range
SAT: Math 770, CR 660. Got an 800 on Chemistry but didn’t send
4.58 weighted, 3.9-ish unweighted (~40 / 500)
AP: Chemistry (5), Statistics (5), Environmental Science (4). I’m taking Calc AB/BC, Physics 1 and 2, and Computer Science this year.
Speech and Debate Team, been in a band for a long time, other cool things, NHS/other community service

Biggest factors I think were that I did a cool research project at Summer Ventures in Science and Mathematics, which I talked about a lot. I also went to the NC State Engineering summer program.

Questions on the app:
Leadership: I talked about how one of my engineering teachers was extremely passionate.
Obstacles: I described my Summer Ventures research project.
Major: I talked about my past programming experiences and why those made me love Comp Sci.
Campus diversity: I said that I would love to discuss crazy scientific questions that don’t matter (ex: “Is the universe actually infinite?”) and that I would be interested to hear about and learn from everybody’s unique perspectives.

Personal statement: I talked about how two teachers in particular turned me into somebody who disliked school into somebody who wanted to make my teachers proud

Cool! I am a junior and I want to apply for ECE at ncsu.
