Cornell ED also for my D. Good thing, because finishing RD apps over xmas break was not something she was looking forward to doing…

LOL @annwank - ditto for my D! Not sure that was the right lesson - she procrastinated working on her Jan. 1 RD applications - and it paid off!

D got accepted to WashU Olin school of business ED. She’s been obsessed over this school for past 2 years and when we visited last spring it was love at first sight. So she’s thrilled. It was an agonizing decision. We didn’t want her doing ED. I was hoping she would hold out for some scholarships or an Ivy. But she said that even if she got into Princeton she would still choose WashU. So that’s that. Not thrilled that she’ll be so far away but I’m happy that she’s going to her dream school.

S applied ED1 and was accepted to Kenyon! Only child, so I’m done forever!!! What will I obsess over now?
Congratulations to everyone.

S was accepted to UT-Austin for Computer Science in December and just heard today that he was accepted early action to GaTech. He has a few more schools to hear from and then it will be decision time!

D was accepted to Seton Hall’s 6 year PA program with a nice scholarship, but still waiting on her #1 choice, Penn State. We should hear within next few weeks.

D was accepted OOS at univ of North Carolina - wilmington, montana state university, and Washington state univeristy. Thrilled! Merit scholarships offered at 2/3 schools so far so we are off to a good start!

D accepted to Temple University/Tyler School of Art (no financial package yet) and School of the Art Institute of Chicago ($54k merit scholarship). Waiting to hear this week from #1 school, Drexel U. Hopefully with big $$$ or else it’s probably going to be Temple.

D got the mail package from Temple and got a Dean’s Scholarship ($8k/year) and Honors program admittance. Will be hard to beat that but still waiting for Drexel this week.

S accepted UMaine, UAlbany, UNH, UVM, URI 5 for 5 so far…7 to go!

Congrats to everyone on all the acceptances so far. Wow.

D accepted at Drexel! She is refusing to go on the portal to find out what the financial package is, and I don’t know her username and password. I fear she already has checked and knows it’s too low. So we wait for the snail mail.

Her best friend desperately wants to go to Columbia, applied ED and was deferred. Now she has to wait until March for RD and all the others she applied to. I feel for kids and parents in this situation. My S didn’t like any schools enough to apply ED and got all 4 decisions on March 31.

We’re waiting on Drexel as well but financially it’s definitely a reach.

Accepted to University of St Andrews (and accepted my offer there) and also King’s College London and Durham.

My son was accepted to Ohio state, N.C State. Denied from UVA. Were waiting for Univ of Maryland and UNC Chapel Hill.which his his first choice. It comes out this week. We live in N.C so crossing our fingers!!! This waiting is killing me more than him

Got the financial offer from Drexel, $19k a year A.J. Drexel scholarship. Still leaves a very high cost to go there vs. Temple. Going to make D apply to Michigan this week just to have another choice. Temple doesn’t have the program she wants and if she sticks with that she would have to go to grad school. Total costs might even out in the end. Have a lot of number crunching to do! Also got the accepted students package from SAIC, a school she applied to just to see if she would get in. Very appealing package that is making us take a second look there.

@ssswims Congrats! My nephew is in his second year at St. Andrews and loves it!

I haven’t been on CC much with D3’s college search, as I had been during my older kids’ searches. D3’s planning to study art and has been accepted, so far, at Temple U. (Tyler School of Art). W/ a partial scholarship, Towson U., U. Of Hartford (Hartford Art School) w/ a generous merit scholarship, MICA (Maryland Institute College of Art) w/ a partial scholarship and, most recently, Virginia Commonwealth University’s Arts School. At this point, she’s just waiting on one more school to get back to her.

Accepted: Penn State, UVM, UNH, Duquesne, URI, Umaine, Ualbany, waiting on Uconn and UB.

D is accepted at University of Maryland scholars program, Towson University and James Madison. Didn’t do early application at Virginia Tech so waiting on that response and scholarship info.
