Is anyone familiar with any of the admission statistics for this year’s class? I’m just curious and cannot find any information considering how recently the RD applicants were notified.
Dear matusa96 : Boston College has not yet released statistics for the Class of 2019, but you might want to consider the statistical data presented in the link listed below. The contributors (171 profiles) are self-selected so it is difficult to determine whether this data constitutes a statistically significant sample, however I found the Scattergram View to be extremely interesting.

Note the very strong correlation in the early data regarding rejections with SATs below 1970 and unweighted GPAs at 3.7 and below. In our previous contributions, we have often discussed the need for SAT scores in the 2050 area or better with GPAs in the unweighted 3.8+ range with a Top 10% performance. This Scattergram View provides a very clear visual realization of these criteria.
@scottj Thank you! Definitely very interesting. I was curious as to who was getting in this year and who wasn’t considering this was supposedly the most selective year. Thanks again!
Actually, BC has released them. http://bcheights.com/news/2015/acceptance-rate-drops-to-28-percent-for-bc-class-of-2019/
Dear matusa96 and nolives : This new article from March 26th represents a new high for SAT (2120) and ACT (32) average performances. Also, I am personally amazed that the application count is again approaching the 30,000 mark as the article mentions that supplemental essays are now an expected component of the application process.
Wow, that’s quite impressive. All of this info. is making me very grateful to have it as an option. It just seems like for as great of a reputation that it has, it is still getting better. @scottj Thanks !
