Chance me please. I am so nervous! I got rejected from UC Davis and UCSD and I have this weird feeling for UCSC.
SAT: 2000
GPA: 4.4W, 3.8UW
7 AP classes total
Intended Major: General Biology
Good Essays and a lot of volunteering (hopitals, nursing homes, tutoring)…
I was gonna stay up but then I realized its 12 Pacific and not Eastern lol. Also rejected from Davis and San Diego, so I’m even more nervous about Santa Cruz then I thought I’d be :-SS
I’m also awaiting the decision! I heard back from them a couple of weeks ago when they emailed me saying that I was invited to the honors program and would be considered for campus merit and regents.
In terms of UC decisions, I was waitlisted at San Diego and accepted into Davis yesterday. I applied to every UC except for Merced and Riverside.
Argh… I’m going to stay up until 3 AM. I really hope I get into UCSC, as it’s my first choice. I got rejected from SLO and Davis, and I don’t know how I’ll feel if I get rejected to SC.
Rejected from davis and cal poly, waitlisted to SD, 4.21 UC GPA, 2070 SAT, EC: 100+ hours at local library, biotech company internship, martial arts instructor, French National Honor Society. ChemE for all UC’s. Chance at UCSC?
Good luck to all of you! I’m a second year here, so please feel free to message me if anyone has questions about their/my own stats, courses, climate, etc. My brother is awaiting his admission tonight so I’m feeling the excitement all over again for him. I’m studying Cognitive Science (emphasis in linguistics) and Language Studies (German) but I’ve also taken a decent amount of STEM classes.
^ also note that last year nearly 1k students were over-admitted and the University had to spend the summer modifying and building housing for them. Additionally, housing in the city has skyrocketed and become a nightmare for students. We were told if we over admitted/enrolled this year we would lose funding, so this year will be more competitive.
Waiting to see if my middle daughter is accepted, as UCSC is her first choice. Her sister is already a Slug, and loves attending UCSC. Found out yesterday that my current senior was accepted at UCSD, so very hopeful to get good news tonight.
D accepted, last name starts with S but they already posted acceptance. She got invite for First Year Honors so we figured she would get in. Good luck to all!
