Congratulations to those who got accepted from the waitlist. Can you fshare your SAT scores, so we know if we have a chance.
Im on the waitlist for UCF & after tomorrow they will begin pulling amount needed! So im pretty sure next week UCF will start sending out notifications! ! Fingers crossed
waitlist acceptances have little to do with SAT scores. If you were waitlisted, it means at the very least you are academically qualified for the school.
still waiting here in Southern California…
My regional rep said we’d be notified by today at the latest and I still haven’t heard anything. Anyone get anything today or know when we’ll receive a final decisions?
Just got accepted off the waitlist! Although I’m sticking to my second choice school (King’s College London), I never thought I would even get a response from JHU. For those of you who are still waiting, hang on!
How many days did JHU give you to decide whether to SIR or not?
@StevenToCollege the website says that it gives you two weeks.
For some reason, they gave me until the 26th.
Hopkins allows 10 days to make a decision. My D was admitted from the wait list on May 8 and had until May 18 to respond (she accepted the offer and will attend).
I was admitted and they gave me until the 26th…but financial aid wasn’t as ideal as the school I was planning to attend.
@darkray2000 that would sort of make sense given that it’s later in the waitlist process and they can’t wait as long for every answer
@Ilikeice Do you mind telling me what major you plan on pursuing?
Just called the admissions office and they said they have taken 30-40 people so far this year and will take more. Within two weeks we will get emails telling us whether we will stay on the waitlist for the Summer, so I guess that means the majority of people left will be rejected
@asiansinspace I plan on majoring in either Biology or Physics, perhaps a combination of both. I have not yet decided whether I will attend Hopkins, however.
@asiansinspace Dang. I saw on College Kickstarter that the acceptance rate of the JHU waitlist has been about 2% the past few years. Don’t know about this year though.
Well, I have decided that I will not be accepting a place at JHU. Hopefully someone who’ll appreciate it more will be accepted.
So where have you decided to go?
@StevenToCollege UPenn, unless I get off of the Columbia waitlist. I would have seriously considered going to Hopkins if the aid had been satisfactory though.
Anyone hear from JHU?
@asiansinspace I was accepted today at 2:07 PM!
Nice! I got in 5pm yesterday (we’re probably in different time zones)
