Class of 2019

@damondretheg‌ oh you’re talking about the legacy scholarship lol.
@mylife2live‌ that’s amazing. What do you want to study?

I want to major in biology and minor in Computer Science and/or a liberal arts subject like English. Wbu guys?

@damondretheg‌ The Howard Class of 2019 page on twitter said that eventually, everyone’s getting an email. Idk how they found out that info though.

Hey, Im Corey. Applied EA for chemical engineering. Just wanted to say hi. Felt like a stalker cuz i never commented

Lmao hey Corey, me too. I’ve been stalking this page for like a week. Where are you from?

@mylife2live‌ I saw that. Someone also said that Howard randomly selected people to receive that FAFSA email which, if its true, is very childish. haha who knows.

Really I just want my decision email! I just want a yes or no.

hey guys I’m Roxie (although I already said this info lol) I am from Northwest Indiana
I want to major in International business double major in either marketing or political science.
I reallly hope that we get the acceptance emails soon! Howard is my first choice
if you guys haven’t already, check out HUReaction on youtube: look at the “Welcome to Howard 101” series
all the videos on there are really good and some are funny

i feel like I’ve watched everything on YouTube about Howard lol from Bison Code to little webseries done by students there; doesnt hurt to be informed right?
Also they have a student run newspaper which you can read online called thehilltoponline.com They have great stuff on there as well

From what ive heard about Howard is that many times things can be disorganized and slow, but dont let that discourage you guys! Hopefully it will be worth it in the end
Best of Blessings to all of you on your acceptances

What made you guys apply to Howard?

Living in Utah I have always been the one black kid in class -_- it’s not that I hated the experience but I would rather have my college experience be with like-minded people. Oh cough cough what’s yalls IG? Follow me @goldenamani

My schools have always been diverse. I really can’t relate to that, but I can imagine how you must feel. From basically no diversity to all though? That’s a big change.

Yeah the youtube videos kinda close the deal for me. I was like “Okay, I HAVE to go here” haha.

& at my school, the higher-leveled the class is, the less black people there are smh. hah

Basically I go to the most diverse school in Chicago but being in the highest level classes meant that I could only see my black friends in passing periods…

BUT Did you guys get the financial aid email??? And I heard they are sending the decisions on Friday!

I live in a small town in Michigan and to be honest there aren’t really that many
black people compared to white people. And I’ve always been the one only black person in the room on so many occasions that I thought it was normal. I wanna go somewhere where they understand natural hair, and I don’t get questions asked about my weave and where when an injustice happens to a fellow African American in our country people rally to help and not just post racist comments on Facebook. So that’s my reason.

Okay so I just called and decisions are DEFINITELY coming out tomorrow.

I spoke with a professor at San Diego. We were talking about men of color in college. He said that HBCUs produce more confident graduates, because of the fact that they aren’t an institution that harbors to thier needs and teaches them what it really means to be black in America.

The YouTube videos most definitely make me more ready to be a Bison

From maryland. And are we going to be told if we received one of the scholarships?

I’m soo ready for tomorrow man! & @CTay301‌ I guess so if you qualify. On bisonweb they have th new aid year up.

email or mail ?

We’re getting decisions by email and they’re mailing the acceptance packages in the New Year.
