I just found out that I’ve been accepted to their Exploratory program! I’m so excited, because IC is one of my top schools. I got the notification online but haven’t received a letter yet so I don’t know about scholarships as of now. I hope the letter comes tomorrow!
About me: Homeschooled (enrolled in correspondence school), female, white, from upstate NY (about 4 hours southeast of Ithaca)
SAT: 1930 one sitting (670 W / 620 M / 640 CR)
ACT: Didn’t take it
GPA: 89/100
Class rank/percentile: Top 25% out of 1400
ECs: Mostly paid work experience full- and part-time, LGBT, web design, pet rescue, other personal hobbies
Essays: Very good
Recs: Good counselor rec, great teacher rec (from my dad), great other rec (from a family friend, she’s a published author and a writing professor at Sarah Lawrence College. I babysit her kid and she’s been helping me with college admissions, reviewing my essays etc.)
