We got the same one. Does that really qualify though? Usually a “likely” letter is more personal, like a personal email from the admissions rep (what we received from Knox) but yeah, it did give us a “vibe.”
@TytoAlba “likely” probably isn’t the best way to describe it, but I didn’t know what else to call it. I’ve seen some decision threads throughout CC where people received brochures close to decisions being sent though.
My D’s acceptance letter from last year is dated 12/16. I don’t really remember whether she found out earlier on the portal, but she might have.
@1518mom I thought they only mailed decisions? But anyway, do you know if your daughter received any financial aid/scholarship info with the letter?
@laliaM , she received her merit scholarship awards in the letter. Financial aid comes later.
I heard from some one on the alumni board that EA1 decisions should be coming out this coming week. Does any one know anything about this?
The admissions calendar says by December 15th.
@DeadHead17 I would love if they came out this week. The wait is killing me, but I don’t want to get my hopes up for nothing.

Also, on the application portal if you applied EA 1 it specifies that “you can expect to receive your admission decision after December 15,” and “Admission and scholarship decisions arrive via traditional mail and are released online through this page shortly after.”
@laliaM Thank you! I hadn’t “clicked” the EA I link…now I see it. On pins and needles. It’s her number one choice.

I’m checking the mail box every fifteen minutes or so. She got an acceptance from another of her top schools yesterday so she is thrilled she is not relegated to her “safety”.

Maybe they are mailing on the 15th? On a College Confidential post for EA 2013 the kids were getting their envelopes around the 18th.

I don’t know. I think mine was going to do it the old fashioned way and wait for the mail.
