My son was rejected. He was the #1 recruit for a Colby coach. Just spoke with the coach. He says he got screwed this year with them rejecting most of his recruits. Their teams are going to continue to suck! It’s not like my son wouldn’t be able to hang academically (very strong SATs, high GPA at a famously difficult school). Screw Colby! haha… only mad because he wasted his ED1 there … on to ED2. Good luck everyone, rejected, deferred or accepted.

Will the financial package be mailed to us any time soon? They asked us to respond by 23rd…
I don’t really want to call out the coach and burn any bridges. Semi hoping for the conversation we have tomorrow with the coach to at least point him in a direction for another option. Maybe the coach will say he got totally lied to or misled by admissions and will point us to another school where the guy knows a coach. At this late date, the problem is the recruiting process is pretty much done. So my son might be screwed by this whole thing. He actually has D1 options but the schools aren’t as strong academically and he wants to go to the best school where he can play, so that led him to D3.
All of you guys and girls, it would be really interesting to have the data to see how tough it really was to get into Colby this year.

@alf166 I am wondering the same thing about the financial aid offer. I thought it was going to be added on to the portal at the same time.
did any of you guys actually get an email from Colby?? I got my results on the portal but they never emailed me saying they were posted/to check… hoping I’m not the only one!
