@emorydad1 It just means that the application status changed from pending to either accepted/rejected/waitlisted.
Thanks - she got the same message from Brandeis and got in, got nothing from Bowdoin and got rejected. Wishful thinking.
Btw: whichever Mom wrote ‘Love the school that loves you back’ is brilliant. Words that are helping our family tonight.

@emorydad1 that was me on another thread but atlas not original. Came from my mother’s sage advice growing up and applied to anything in life you don’t get!

My daughter was rejected too. But on the other hand, she got an early write from Wesleyan. It just goes to show how random it can be with highly selective colleges.
Listen to the excellent advice from the parents on the group. Don’t let one decision (favorable or not) define you.
You’re all accomplished young people who will find fulfilling colleges and achieve great things!
@austinpop I agree-- I received an early write from Williams College but I was flat out rejected from Pomona College, which I don’t really mind since I have other top schools that loved me back haha.
Rejected!! Just got accepted to Bowdoin and UCLA Regents, and had an early write from Wesleyan, so I’m still overjoyed today

I’m so surprised that I was wait listed. I was expecting a rejection. I am nowhere near as amazing as all of you. I truly believe that my essay was the one thing that brought me that far. I choice the critical inquiry one.
