DD was able to sign in on portal and see financial aid prior to the portal being closed, but now it isn’t letting her. Strange if some people can and others can’t unless she actually didn’t get in. We’ll just wait and see what the mail brings I guess.

For what it’s worth, today is class elections day at AU (with voting done through the AU portal), so maybe they’re not letting new students create accounts until that’s over so no new students (who may not end up going to AU) vote in the elections.

It appears from their Twitter feed that they have not actually put the letters in the mail.
Nothing in the mail today from California. Hoping for something by Friday though!
American’s Twitter says “decisions will be mailed later this week. We’re working hard getting everything ready.”

Ugh I just saw that. So frustrating.
yeah guys they havent even sent the mail out yet, so if youre on the east coast expect it by the end of this week, but if youre like me on the west coast in california dont expect it till next week. ugh im so impatient
I wonder why they don’t use a portal to send out updates.
Obviously every college is different, but when UMD has sent me mail, the date on the actual letter is about 1 week later than the day I got the letter. I live in MA. So for anyone living in New England, I wouldn’t expect anything this week.
Portal would be so much more efficient. Every time I get my mail I’m so disappointed 
For those who’ve received acceptances to Honors, did your scholarship information appear on the portal? If not, did your acceptance letter list the Honors scholarship separately from other merit/financial aid? Congratulations to all who’ve been accepted! We are still waiting for the mail here in Georgia.
