Class of 2020 RD

waitlist - 32 ACT, 4.27 (weighted) and 3.72 (unweighted)

Forgot to put stats. D accepted AU Scholars program (applied for Honors, but didn’t get it). 4.0 u/w GPA, 2220 SAT. IB Diploma Candidate.

Forgot to list my stats as well:

3.4 UW/3.9 W, 2150 SAT. Great recs and personal essay showed (and admissions letter acknowledged) that I’ve overcome a ton of obstacles most people don’t have to. Nice touch for AU to mention it in the letter.

Waitlisted.
3.6 UW/4.1 W, 2200 SAT. Great recs and strong ECs. National debate champion. Awwww man… :frowning: It was one of my top schools.

Did a Skype interview and the lady was impressed by my passion for feminism. Acceptance letter commended my internship at local newspaper, a nice personal touch.
Received the Dean’s Scholarship but tuition is still so expensive. Any idea/tips/advice for appealing for more financial aid?

Is it weird that I got invited to the Admission reception in SF, but I didn’t get an acceptance package in the mail?

ugh still nothing in cali so now i have to wait till monday. i have low stats (3.7, 1820) so i probably got waitlisted or rejected but i dont care i just want the wait to be over!!!

S was waitlisted. 35 ACT, 3.88 GPA, good ECs. A little bummed. Got into Northeastern and LL from GW.

Accepted in Southern California
4.4 WGPA

Full IB Diploma Candidate

$18,000 Presidential Scholarship (matched portal)
Invited to AU Scholars

My daughter got the same email, and also has yet to receive her acceptance package!

@NorCalBred Same thing happened to me. I guess it’s just a difference in mail speed/

@waxeraser I reserved my seat via email because the student portal was confusing to navigate. The deadline was this upcoming Monday for the event. Seems strange that the invite arrives on closed office day. Hopefully I’ll get the letter on Monday. This is so exciting.

Waitlisted, not gonna accept already got into somewhere I liked better.

Kinda disappointed though, thought I was qualified.

Waitlisted with SAT and ACT scores well above the 75th percentile. Pretty sure it’s yield protection, I could be wrong but since I probably wouldn’t have gone even if I had been accepted I’m not too salty.

that happened to me too! i got the email saying i was invited to accepted students day but still haven’t received anything in the mail

hey, i’m new to this thread! i got in for Spring 2017 and was invited to to the mentorship program. i’m considering it- i feel that it’s a good opportunity to get some great stuff on my resume

For those of you that have received invitations prior to the packet itself, you may want to read this! http://auadmission.■■■■■■■■■■/post/141675168806/i-havent-received-my-acceptance-but-ive

Congratulations!
