Class of 2020 (sharing, venting, etc)

You should have gotten a large envelope for your academic acceptance. It came

Yes, @Guppie there was a large “You’re In!” envelope in the mail from Pace with hard copies of the acceptances - if it has been a while that you’ve been getting those emails, I’d give Pace a call to let them know that you’ve not received the envelope

It’s eerily quiet on these boards…the waiting the waiting!!

Best of luck to your daughter! I like your attitude. Sunny side up! Thank you for the information about Penn State.

Hey @ParachuteBoy I’ve already been rejected from 3 schools. Not my top schools, but still hard to take rejection, especially when you have to go into more auditions. i feel your pain. But it’s all for a reason.

For sure. Having rejections makes the acceptances sweeter

Does anyone know whether the new head of MT at Penn State, John Simpkins, was in the audition room in Chicago? I assume he was but D isn’t so sure. Thank you!

Anyone heard from Temple or Utah from chicago unifieds?

D did a walk-in for Temple at Chicago Unifieds. She received a polite “thanks for sharing your talent, but no” email the other day.

^same here

I’m at D’s Michigan audition. The admissions director said that no decisions have been made. She said accepted students will be notified by phone with all others by mail. Stats for class of 2020: 1,000 applicants, 400 invited to audition, 24 or 25 offers to yield class of 22.

Wowsa on those Michigan numbers…I can’t even imagine looking over 1000 applicants prescreens…lol

is there anyway to check your Montclair State application status?

I didn’t do a walkin but I haven’t heard anything from temple, nothing on my email

Anyone got on-campus auditions left? Any this weekend?

@TNMTDAD we have Steindhart this Sunday, Wagner next Sunday and MSM Monday the 29th… Then more waiting!

@TNMTDAD we are at Carnegie tomorrow, UNH next Saturday and also have Wagner next Sunday.

Wow. Still some really great schools left, @jbrideau! Looks like the weather is going to be better for you than it was for many during Unifieds. BAL! That waiting IS an alternate universe. Stay strong. Thinking about all of y’all and wishing you the best, and of course a yes!

You know, Wagner was one of our regrets. We just couldn’t make it happen as the audition year began to unfold. But, that place is so impressive and that list of working alumni. OMG! Plus, they have a very unique approach to undergraduate education.

Thanks @TNMTDAD! Can’t wait to know where she’s meant to be!
