Class of 2020 **USC and UCLA Chances **

As the college decisions start rolling around, I’ve been going crazy thinking about whether or not I will get into my top schools. UCLA and USC are my dream schools and I would do anything to go to one; however, after reading some of these only forums and stats, I have questioned my chances of getting in. I was wondering if anyone could chance me at getting into one of the schools, in the last month before decisions, just to put my mind at ease.

I attend a private school in New York City, and I did not apply for financial aid, as I have the resources to pay for the full tuition. I applied to USC with major 1: undecided and major 2: engineering. I applied to UCLA as undeclared letters of arts and sciences
Race: African American
GPA: 91/100 or 3.75 (UW), i don’t know my weighted average
SAT: 1940 (640 Math, 650 CR, 650 Writing) 98th percentile out of African Americans
SAT II: 600 (Math II), 590 (Bio)
I’ve taken 3 APs throughout high school, as my school offers limited classes and is strict about placement. I have also taken 3 Honors classes throughout my 4 years.
Extracurriculars: Track and Field (4 years, 2 seasons a year), Cross Country(4 years), VP of African American Culture Society (3 years), New York Science Honor Society (2 years), Youth Church Ministry Leader (2 years)
Volunteer: 150 hours of volunteer work

Any idea on what my chances are at getting an acceptance at the end of the year? Thank you

I think you have a better chance with USC as UCLA does not factor in race:
USC - high match
UCLA - low reach

Agree with @uclaparent9’s assessment especially if you are full pay.
