Denison only had ED1 and ED2, not EA. ED decisions are released on a rolling basis (we were told, by Admissions). If you follow Denison Admissions on Twitter, they tweet when a batch of ED decisions go out. RD is late March, I believe, though you can check earlier year’s posts to see when RD seemed to come out. Merit awards are in your written acceptance materials, not your online portal.
My daughter Applied for ED I and was
Accepted Dec 2nd (via Portal). To answer a few of your questions, she had a 3.85 GPA (when applied) higher after this semester but irrelevant now, 5 AP classes, 32 ACT (36 English, 35 Reading)
Extracurricular Activities: too much stuff to list but very involved. Lots of leadership, helping others… 600+ volunteer hrs. w/local food pantry, State Scholar, National Honors Society, French National Honors Society, 13 yrs. Classical piano etc… She fell in love with Denison and is thrilled to be part of the class of 2021. Go Big Red!!
They have a tweet pinned on their Twitter page from Feb 17 saying decisions would be out in “about a month”–I interpret that to mean that decisions will be coming out this Friday.
Portal, according to the 2019 thread. @zbday11 . I can’t find a 2020 thread if anybody can please link it. And I saw the same tweet @klinska I’m really hoping they mean that letters will be in our mailboxes Friday, so the portal should be updated sooner ( prehaps even Wednesday?)
I’m assuming they will release decisions in the evening, perhaps around 5PM or 6PM. I’ll mention them on Twitter the day of asking for a specific amount of time. Hopefully we get good news very soon!
