Congrats! Daughter got in public health
Congrats!! Good news here for my daughter as well!
Son is in! Mechanical engineering.
Anyone happen to get scholarship offers for OOS tuition? Just wondering what the ACT scores look like regular & superscore?
For those who have heard already, are you in-state or OOS? Would you mind sharing your stats? Congrats to you all!
I just got in!
OOS, ACT:29
UW GPA: 4.0
1 AP completed, 1 more AP and 4 DE classes this year
I also got a general scholarship offer, but the amount won’t be confirmed until March.
@ cecdancer16…ACT 29…regular or superscored? My D’s OOS - ACT 28 regular and 30 superscore with 3.98 UW GPA. 1AP completed and 3 DE’s this year. Huge leadership experience but no scholarship offer…yet.
@PAPlaya D is OOS. Her letter only says she will receive a scholarship that allows her in-state tuition plus.
@PAPlaya University of South Carolina doesn’t superscore the ACT.
Hmm…saw this on their website:
Q: How will test scores be used for admission and scholarship purposes?
A: USC will use the test score that provides the greatest advantage in the admissions and scholarship process. When evaluating SAT scores we will consider either the best combination for critical reading and math sections from the SAT or the best combination of the evidence-based reading/writing and math sections from the rSAT. We will not “super duper” score across score types.
It’s best to think of the rSAT as an entirely new kind of test. There are three kinds of tests which can be considered for admission, “old” SAT, rSAT, or ACT. Even if you submit scores from all three test types, we will use the score that offers the greatest advantage in the admissions and scholarship process, provided they are submitted by stated deadlines.
@itsgettingreal17 What was your D’s ACT regular and super score?
@trekslxchick Saw this on their website which is what leads me to believe they superscore(says for Spring 2017 and beyond):

@PAPlaya D didn’t take the ACT. Only the the first rSAT (in March) and she scored 1520.
Got in - 34 ACT and 3.97 W-GPA OOS
will get general scholarship, not sure if in state yet. I see some have already gotten in state scholarship promises, so does that mean im probably gonna get the scholarship below in state, or still have good shot for in state?
Got my acceptance packet Saturday, undecided major, in-state.
UWGPA: 4.45
WGPA: 3.85
SAT (NEW): 1290, awaiting my November scores
From what I’ve heard USC is not making final scholarship offers until later. I’ve received a letter about week before I got the packet with what they intend to offer me, but nothing official.
Got accepted to Arnold School of Public Health for Exercise Science!
Out of State: PA
Weighted GPA: 4.35
ACT: 32
Letter said that I will be receiving in-state tuition/ a scholarship worth at least $77,000!
I think with regards to ACT it just means they take the best sitting, not superscore individual sections as they do for SAT.
Typically they send a sort of “at least” scholarship offer, but final offers come out in March when they’ve looked at all applicants. Remember they haven’t even received all of regular decision applications yet.
Would everyone mind posting their stats if they were admitted? OOS daughter waiting on acceptance applied 10/05. Thanks:)
My daughter was accepted in to the College of Communication. Grade Point: 3.978, SAT1290, Many EC and leadership positions. OOS
