Class of 2021 Decisions

S’s financial aid info is blank. Nothing there yet.

@bbaker10 thanks  I will tell him to sign on. We have just been waiting for something in the mail. Last time we checked was after we got the VIP email but only a financial aid tab was there with a personal tab. Let’s see!!

Has anyone received their scholarship amounts yet? Nothing yet here.

Nothing here. Don’t know what’s the hold up.

Hopefully soon

@bbaker10 did your son ever get anything in the mail?

My daughter received her acceptance letter today. Journalism major. We are thrilled to have two Gamecocks! Her brother is a sophomore. oos.

Worthy17 did your daughter apply early admit? Or regular?

She applied early.

Scholarship specifics/amounts do not come out until March. You will receive a letter in the mail.

My Daughter received her acceptance yesterday. Sports and Entertainment Management major. She is thrilled.

@lopeztlo7 Congratulations for your daughter!

We applied early as well and are in-state. Just curious…did your daughter submit updated test scores since she submitted her application? I emailed the Admissions Counselor assigned to our area and she stated that we will not hear anything until mid-March (we probably will have already committed to another college that is giving her good $$ and are not waiting this late). My daughter also applied to college of HRSM. She really likes USC, but do not want to give up the $$ to her 2nd choice.

@SCLADY12 We did not send anything different. Those were the stats she was deferred with originally which I thought was a little weird. I did read somewhere that HRSM was very difficult to get into this year but I cannot find that anymore. The Sports and Entertainment Management major is very highly rated. Where else did your daughter apply. You are lucky to be instate with great schools like Clemson and USC!

@lopeztlo7 My daughter is interested in Retail Merchandising/Management major in HRSM. She was accepted to Alabama, Univ of Tenn and Presbyterian College (small private in South Carolina). Waiting to hear from Clemson and USC. Clemson has been really competitive to get in the past several years.

We are waiting for Clemson as well. It’s the last school for my daughter to hear from. The waiting is so stressful. I’m just ready for this to all be over. Hopefully soon we will know where she’s going to go and how much it is gong to cost.

@kaylamissy We feel the same way. We are so ready for this process to be over. We are a bit frustrated with USC and the many waves of acceptances. At least with Clemson you actually know the timeframe for acceptance.  Good luck!!

@SCLADY12 that’s so true. We got lucky I guess with USC. My daughter found out the 2nd week of November. She’s known she was accepted from USC for a long time. Some of her friends are still waiting on USC as well. Palmetto Fellows have found out from Clemson already. I’m not sure if anyone that isn’t a Palmetto Fellow or have very high stats have been accepted to Clemson yet. I just wish Clemson didn’t wait so long but I guess with as many applicants that they have they can do what they want. But the waiting is so hard!!! And running to the mailbox everyday when you get home is getting old.

I received my acceptance letter on Monday, which is weird because regular applicants are supposed to receive a decision in March. Unfortunately, as far as I know, I did not receive any scholarships and I am still awaiting a financial aid decision.

@VeniceMate Congratulations!!  Yesterday, the Admissions Counselor for our region stated that all regular applicants will be notified mid-March; however, I’m seeing on this site and USC (#UofSCYes) where many regular applicants are posting daily about being accepted. Very strange on how they are dribbling them out. What is your major?

They have done it this way for years. The March date is the final week when all decisions are sent, but they send out batches up until then. I guess the March date is so people can know the latest possible time they will hear and assume that nobody minds finding out earlier.
