Accepted into Computer Engineering. 3.2 UW Gpa, 30 ACT. No envelope yet.
D accepted to Biomed program today
@noelle2017 this is what i got back from them today, “Please have your school counselor submit those grades via the Common Application as soon as they are available. Admission decisions will continue to be released on a rolling basis until the end of March.” Not exactly very helpful but after looking at the pre-pharm page on their website I saw this- “We do elect to review mid-year senior grades from many applicants to Pharm.D. before issuing a final admission decision.” I’m not sure if that is what you applied for as a major, but if you did that may help cool your nerves. I’ll be sending out my mid-year grades later this week so hopefully I will get an admissions decision sooner than later.
@warrior4 that’s really good to know. I applied as a bio major. I didn’t see anything under that major about mid year grades. I just checked
Maybe bio is a tougher major to get into than my friends who already were accepted. Idk I just know my stats are higher than theirs. I’m so happy for them…just confused.
My guidance counselor told me today that URI asks for mid year grades a lot. Good luck!! I’ll be sending my grades in about 2 weeks when this mp ends
@POPS4RYAN we have not received anything in the mail yet. Just an email so far.
My daughter applied early action although she got it in just under the wire on November 30th. So far she still hasn’t gotten any notification on e-Campus yet. Is anyone else still waiting for notification? I’m wondering if she’s just getting hers late because she was one of the last people to apply during the early action time frame.
got my letter today!
Daughter got the acceptance letter today but no mention of any scholarships. Does URI offer scholarships?
Scholarship information was included in the letter.
Received letter today.
Daughter received package today with Centennial Scholarship.
If anyone is not recieving a response from URI on their application decision, it may be because your (important) application materials were not recieved by URI on time for Early Action. Mine says that they were recieved by December 2, and though I was probably not going to get a scholarship anyways, it is unfortunate that this is an occurance that can misfortune someone (but as long as I get accepted, I’ll be fine).
Also, where are you all getting your information from, because I have been checking the page you get after logging in for the longest time (just in case they did post something and I have yet to find it)? Thank you!! I hope to see you all at URI!!!
@Peculiar0Pencil Same thing happened with me! I called them and the next day they posted my acceptance - try that. It really is unfortunate because I was hoping for a lot of merit and I’m so mad at my counselor for not sending transcripts in when requested. I haven’t received my letter yet and I’m so nervous.
@shelleyr25 Congratulations! What were your daughter’s stats?
My daughter’s admission status shows the application date as 11/30 but the required items show as 12/2 except for test scores which show as 12/8. Since the status showed as 11/30 we assumed she met the early action deadline, but now I’m not so sure. Will try calling tomorrow to find out.
@ciara2021 she had a 30 on her ACT and a 4.2 weighted GPA.
I spoke with admissions. Turns out that she missed out on early action because some of the items came in after 12/1 so she’s now lumped in with the next batch of applicants. Her numbers are very favorable for a merit scholarship, but that could change now because of the delay.
My Daughter’s big white envelope came today. The package had cute exterior signage saying “Congratulations ! Welcome To Our Community Of Big Thinkers !” The letter confirmed a “University Scholarship” which provided a lighter figure than we had hoped (and much lower than what URI gave my URI alumnus son in 2011). Good Luck to ALL as you wait for the remainder of your responses…
What are the dates for accepted students days?
@tmill1111 so if you don’t have all of your documentation in by 12/1, you are considered regular admission. When do they release decisions for regular admissions?
@lucky978 No, some of my materials were submitted a few days later and I got notification two days later than the Early Action notification.
