I’d reconsider State Universities because they have limited aid, even for out of state students. I have heard good things about RIT, look into the aid part as well. Good luck!
So how about Troy university, virginia tech, uni of Illinois? Do they provide good scholarships?
vtech, u of Illinois are very competitive and top public institutions. They usually dont offer scholarships to foreign students.
Hi guys,
I have applied NYUAD in ED, but still haven’t heard from them regarding the Candidate Weekend. Anyone else in the same scenerio? ;
Hey @Cool_Aspirant I have thought of applying ED 2 to NYU AD. By the way, can you share your stats ?? And, anyone else applying ED 2 to NYU AD? Anyone you know of ?
@Cool_Aspirant I heard @PeginaRhalange got invited.
@0000yo0000
Sorry, for privacy issues, I prefer not to post my scores or college here. In fact, I sent neither TOEFL nor SAT nor Subject Tests. Honestly, NYUAD doesn’t care much about the stats.
I appreciate your decision of applying ED2. But I can assure you that ED2 and RD to NYUAD are going to be super-competitive. I already know a dozen friend who are applying to NYUAD in both the cycles. (But don’t get intimidated!)
If you write mesmerizing essays, your chances would go much higher.
@syaxyboy Thank you. I got invitation for the Candidate Weekend. So EXCITED!!
Does anyone know how many from Ullens got invited?
Congrats @Cool_Aspirant That’s great. By the way, did you do a levels ? Or, HSEB ?
HSEB.
And you?
Guys, both Harvard and Stanford didn’t accept anyone from Nepal last year. So I recon both will take at least one each this year. Good luck to the applicants. :">
hey @Cool_Aspirant Congratulations. Mind telling your school?
@Cool_Aspirant I did A-Levels.
@searching12 Thanks and Sorry. I prefer not to disclose my credentials.
Are you also an invitee?
Hey guys, do you think one can have a shot at nyuad without counselor’s nomination ?
@Cool_Aspirant Hey man don’t raise up my hope like this
@jonny19 I am in the same position as you. But I will apply, worth the risk!
@warg10 @jonny19 I recommend you to encourage your counselor to nominate you. NYU Ad is a highly selective school with just 2% acceptance. So, if you really want to make it worth a try, you should file a counselor nomination.
@0000yo0000 Absolutely! Nomination helps.
@jonny19 And no point in applying to NYUAD if you think it’s just a mere “shot.” Put all your sweat, blood and tears (especially in the essays) : then only it works.
Good luck!
