Pomona just posted an article about the enrolling class here: http://www.pomona.edu/news/2017/08/17-pomona-college-ready-welcome-class-2021
Ultimately, 757 students were admitted and the final acceptance rate was 8.4%, so 16 were admitted off the wait-list after the pre-waitlist group of 741 students. The 55% yield is the highest since 1955 and a huge increase from a 40% yield just five years ago. 22 transfers enrolled out of some 26 who were admitted, another impressive yield.
The 413 new first years are incredibly diverse, representing 48 states and 33 countries. International students and domestic students of color are 64% of the class.
Really great news! Kudos to the admissions office for assembling such an interesting and talented group of students. And more importantly, a big welcome to the Class of 2021, who start school this Saturday!
