Please mention the college that you want to apply to?
I know this is early but lets get to know each other. My dream college is Colgate.
Lafayette here
Waiting for the decision…let’s see if it’ll be roses or thorns
Hi there! My dream college happens to be Colgate too!
All the best
Hi there. I don’t know if this thread only applies to those Nepalese who currently living in Nepal but I am also applying for colleges next year and my dream college is UC Berkeley.
Hey there!
I’m gonna apply to UCLA, UCB and the Ivies.
like 99% of all other students, my dream is to be in the Ivy league…but I don’t mind other places like Uwash.
I’m also gonna apply to England: Oxford, Imperial, UCL, LSE, KCL
I’m also gonna apply to singapore: Yale-NUS, NUS, and NTU
Good luck to you all
Oh, my. Everyone’s dream college here happens to be Colgate. As far as I know, 3 students got into COlgate from Nepal in the class of 2020 (2 students from Chelsea Int’l Academy & 1 from Rato Bangala School), all with significant financial aid and they all are outstanding applicants. As colleges are working to maintain a diverse campus community, it is unlikely that COlgate will accept any more than 2 applicants because accepting more students from Nepal alone will not help in diversity factors. So, I suggest you guys shouldn’t make Colgate a top-choice.
hey A-levels results were out. So, how did you guys do? And Is there anyone doing ED to Oberlin?
Did pretty good. Applying to Princeton.
Guys. Do Knox and DePauw give enough aid to cover all the fees?
What are your stats?
What were you stats @Haufniensis ? I have got fine A-levels scores however, got a low SAT and GP scores. Do you think I should apply in the ivy league? I score low in english section.
Hey guys, I am from Nepal and I am planning to apply to the states. Glad to be a part of class of 2021, I am sure we will completely outshine the last years batch. Anyways, I am kind of worried about the application processes and which colleges to apply to. From what I have been seeing online, it seems pretty difficult to get good financial aid and thats what I am most worried about.
I got pretty decent A level grades 3 As and an A*, also I think I can get around 1500 in the new SAT(taking it october 1st), that’s what I usually get on my practice tests. Any suggestions to me on which universities to apply?
Also, do any of you guys know the stats of the previous applicants from Nepal who got in the Ivy leagues or colleges of similar stature? or in fact the stats of any applicant will work too. Any help will be greatly appreciated. If any of you guys need help on anything, feel free to PM and stuff.
Hey peeps, I am currently a freshman at Reed and went through the whole tiresome application process last year. So, if you have any questions, I’d be glad to help.
Yeah why is this year’s thread so silent…
Thanks @Shulav bro…glad to have some senior here to guide us.
All the best to those who will be taking SAT this Saturday, including me. I am applying to Hamilton for ED. Is anyone going to apply to Hamilton under ED program?
@Aguero : If Colgate is your dream college, why would you apply to Hamilton ED?
maybe he changed his dream college. Wisest decision is to apply by discussing and choosing colleges exclusively so that the chances of being accepted increases atleast for ED we must talk it out.
Change in plan @merc81.
@Aguero : Lots of luck with your application.
