My son just accepted his admittance. He is going to be an horticulture major. Any other Rams out there?
I got accepted last week for animal science
congrats! Animal science is tough to get in to. Where are you from. We are from Philly
My son was accepted, with a major of natural resources tourism. We visited the campus about 2 weeks ago, and Colorado State is high on his list.
@mainlinemom I’m from new hampshire!
My son was accepted last week. Program of study: Undeclared Exploring Land, Plant, and Animal Sciences.
We live 7 miles from campus so it is not his #1 school, but we know he will be attending a great university next year!
@jpc763 would love to know more about the area! is it difficult to find a job? what kinds of activities are available for fun? thanks!
@swimmer8 - Fort Collins is a great town. I love living here. We have all 4 seasons (sometimes in one day) and over 300 days of sun per year. There are lots of jobs. Housing is pretty rough though. Not a lot of rentals available in the area but the university and the city are working hard on that now. Activities in the area include - tons of hiking and biking (road and mountain). fishing, boating, camping, skiing, golf. You name it, we probably have it.
What are you planning to study at CSU, that will help me a little more. Also, are you an incoming freshman?
@jpc763 I’m going to major in animal science, and I will be an incoming freshman.
we loved the town when we visited last summer. My husband and I cant wait to go for a football weekend. So excited for our son. I went to Penn State and loved state college. Fort collins gives you the same feel but more laid back which fits our son perfectly.
My D has been accepted to electrical engineering. We are in-state, so it’s great to know she already has an affordable school to attend. She’s going to apply to the honors program and I hope she gets in. Her preference is a smaller school and I think honors would give CSU a bit of a smaller school feeling. Other than the size, she really likes the atmosphere of the school and Fort Collins is a great college town.
we just signed up for housing today. its getting real. Cant wait to go to orientation next summer. Good luck everyone.
Accepted as Biomedical Sciences Major, OOS Student.
My son has been accepted as an Animal Science major and in the Honors college. OOS.
My son accepted to and will be visiting next week for accepted student visit. Anyone else? He is undeclared so I am a bit nervous about that but like that CSU has a special program for those undeclared.
We are OOS coming from VA.
@Rdtsmith, my D and I will also be at the admitted students day. Her major is EE and we’re in-state. We may be headed to your neck of the woods for a visit if she’s accepted at VA Tech.
@snoozn You will like VA Tech. It is a beautiful state. Our daughter went to Shenandoah University and we loved to go visit. We are from Pa.
@Rdtsmith we visited there from PA. you will love the town. It is so cute. We cant wait to go back in summer for orientation. Good luck and you will love Ft. Collins.
He loves it so far! They do a great job making you feel welcome. Kids and ambassadors also very open to all questions you might have.
My son has been admitted to the College of Natural Resources (Wildlife Biology) for Fall 2017. We visited twice and it was definitely his first choice school!
