I have parents who went to Michigan State. I have two uncles and one aunt who attended the school also. I’m getting a letter of recommendation by someone who has donated money to the school. (good friend of my family) I applied two days after the application came out.

Daughter’s GPA 3.95 unweighted. Total 8 AP courses, lots of activities,/leadership, ACT 33. Submitted application in August. Likely will attend MSU as it’s her favorite college.

My son’s acceptance email arrived today. For info, 3.91 WGPA, 1440 SAT (superscored), 7 APs, 2 Dual Enrollment. We are OOS. Applied on Aug 22.

I was accepted last week
Instate, 1560 SAT, 4.0 UWGPA, with sports and NHS and tutoring as my extracurriculars.
I believe that I applied in the 3rd week of September.
Just remember that if it’s taking a long time to get a decision it’s because they have a TON of applications and more keep coming in.
Good luck for those who are waiting for MSU and other colleges!

Son admitted yesterday with 4.0 / 32.

My daughter was accepted this week as well. 3.8 UW GPA, 1270 SAT, 28 ACT, Legacy

S was accepted today. 4.2 wGPA, 1350 SAT, typical ECs. OOS from MA.

I was just accepted today! 3.74 GPA, 31 ACT, in state first generation. I volunteer weekly with over 100+ hours under my belt and I founded my school’s Model United Nations club. Lots of leadership positions in student government and academic clubs. I applied mid October and got my decision exactly a week after.

For those who have received acceptances; are they listed on the portal, emailed or actual letter?

Accepted today! In state, 4.26 W/4.0 UW GPA, 34 ACT, 8 APs, National Honor Society Treasurer, tutoring, marching band, orchestra. I got my decision within 10 days of my application.

Acceptances are on the portal and there is a PDF letter to download. Not sure about a physical letter yet. I got an email that said there was an update in my account.

@Momto4kids They are listed in the portal and there is a letter to download and a link to a PDF of an online welcome type brochure. I did not receive any email saying that my portal was updated. I’m assuming a physical letter may be sent or just the welcome brochure

My son was accepted today- 96 GPA 26 ACT- he applied 10/7/17 OOS NY- went on portal and it was there. No physical letter yet.

Hi, those who have applied to MSU as instate, can you tell me what you filled in for UIC. Is it the student id which is a 10 digit code or the school code which is 6 digits. I am planning to send in my applications this weekend. I am using the MSU application and not the coalition application since MSU is the only school I am applying to that is not part of common app.

@MoTownBlues If the UIC is what I think it is, I don’t think my school had that so I put nothing

My son was accepted to MSU today. NJ resident in competitive school. 3.5 GPA and 27 ACT

@gtedw when did he apply? I applied Oct. 17th…I have a 3.625 GPA and got a 1160 (superstore) SAT…I’m just nervous b/c I’m seeing all these people getting their acceptance and decisions…I’m also out of state
